sorry if im completely mistaking you for someone else, but i was wondering if your recent activity means you're "back" to making furry art/art in general? sometime during 2022(?) i remember reading a post of yours saying furry stuff "just wasn't (your) thing anymore" with radio silence + privating following after. im surprised to even have found you on BlueSky posting what looks (to me, at least) like new stuff! you were def one of my faves on Tumblr, and i was so shocked finding out you were on some sort of hiatus not terribly long ago. hope things have been going great, or at least better than before, im simply happy to see you're still alive and well and wanted to say hi!
Firstly - thank you!! That's very sweet, I can't believe you remember the old tumblr days...
I forget exactly what I said back in 2022, but I've always only intended to use this account to draw whatever feels fun in the moment, with no pressure on myself to fulfill a client's or audience's wishes. I think I just didn't feel like drawing furry stuff back then and wanted to branch out for more growth, and felt I had to say something to not confuse people who would ask to see certain characters.
My main motivation for pulling away/privating in general is that my schmuccubus account(s) got way more traction than I ever expected, and was often nsfw, and since I have a professional art career I got concerned it would spread too much out of my control. Furry stuff, god bless, especially seemed to travel fast, so I think that might have also been why I honed in on that!
I don't really have qualms about anything I post now, I'm enjoying the privacy of schmuccubus being either 1) a locked account or 2) on a smaller social media site like Bsky, so I can keep being freely indulgent online :) It's been nice for me!
As for being "back" - to posting or to furry/specific art - the sort of pressure of that label, though well-meaning, has always made posting on schmuccubus feel like it has to be more of a commitment than it is. It's just a personal outlet for me, for when I feel like it. If people like what I draw here, that's awesome and an added bonus. But I really can't guarantee the type of art I'll draw, or how frequently I'll draw it, sorry! (I feel you're understanding and genuinely curious, and I just meant that as a general statement to everyone - thank you for asking!)

Do you have an FC for Dawntrail? What's your opinion on Hrothgals?
Not sure if I'll be playing, time reasons mostly :'T Still appreciate ffxiv tho, will enjoy it vicariously through friends if anything.
I got a couple Qs now about Hrothgals hahah - they turned out about as good as they realistically could've imo. They def got the "human lady physique" treatment next to hrothguys, but I think they were smart in keeping it JUST within their core audience w conventionally hot anime aesthetic. Some of the hrothgal screenshots I see look killer, some look doofy & uncanny - but that's the case with like every race anyway. I support all feral women.

Do you think you'd ever be interested in doing tutorial type stuff?
Hmm - honestly I don't consider myself a particularly technically skilled draftsman, and under my schmucc account I mostly lean into indulgent comfort art, so I don't feel like I'm quite the right source to learn from...Maybe if the tutorial was for something very specific to my work?
I could mayhap point you towards other masters/sources of info though!

Probably! But I can really only do that when I'm not busy with full-time work & projects, which I am...very often. I'll def post when I'm available.

Probably not tbh, I prefer to just spit out art in one cough, fully formed. (my process with personal drawings is quite broken up/sporadic, not keen on stitching it together to be watchable)

Are you okay with people drawing nsfw of your OCs?
Thanks for this Q! As a general rule (some friends or permission-askers exempted) I usually prefer things were kept just suggestive, and not explicit NSFW, when it comes to art of my guys. To clarify:
A-OK: topless/flirty nudity, general suggestiveness.
NO TY: explicit sex acts, really front & centre nudity, fetish stuff.
Feel free to ask if ur not sure!
