(previous anon) I would love to this if your open to writing it!! I can definitely see Dazai having some resentment and distrust, especially at first. He's so protective of Mio and issues or not, her mother did abandon her. I wouldn't be surprised if he straight up slammed the door in her face. What if (and this is totally just a suggestion) it's Chuuya that's like hey, give her chance, she is Mio's mother and after all Dazai himself has had many second chances! This all depends on how you decide to characterize her mother of course! I think she would make an really interesting character if you did so a spin off of FS!
If she showed up right after SF events I could see Chuuya feeling insecure that he's standing in the way of Mio's relationship with her mom. If it happens later when Mio's older her personality could become a factor as well... Maybe she will have complicated emotions about letting her mom in her life as well. Ahhh now I am thinking about when Mio does get older and inevitably asks about her mom, how Dazai (and Chuuya) will handle that conversation!! Sf is such a great story and there is so much potential if you ever decided to explore it I would read it immediately!!
that's totally how i see it for Dazai & Chuuya's reactions, Chuuya would definitely be the one who wants to give her a chance, Dazai does noooot care TT he'd make the effort only if Chuuya (and ofc Mio) ask him to. Mio asking about her mom when she's older... that'd be so good actually... I think if i do a spin-off it will be a few years after FS events indeed, i think there's room for more things to explore! Mio being more grown up, her personality of her own, being aware of (not) having a mom (despite her being very content with her dads ofc)... Chuuya being well established within the family BUT Mio's mom coming back just makes them all rethink of what a family should be, how it should organise itself, etc., whether or not Mio's mom can be called her mom or not, who accepts and/or forgives her or not... idk if Mio'd be rather 11-12 or a full teenager around 16 mmh... so much options.
