mmmm okay half the time i’ll get a dialogue idea in my head and i’ll build the fic around that, and the other half is characters i think !! like i’ll think “ooh island x sea” or “flowers x insects” or something like that and then build a story around that !! and then there’s the very rare occasion where i get a whole story all at once in my head and fight to write it all down before i forget but that barely happens skdjfh
