I understand full pieces should not be revealed until a certain time, but will artists retain the rights to their work and be able to sell their designs for this project as prints or other merch afterward? Thank you.

Hello, what are you looking for with the optional writing portfolio, e.g. number of pieces, word count, other things beyond what's shown by the 3 samples?
Hello! There are no specific requirements for the writing portfolio. Please put whatever works you feel demonstrate your writing the best. We will mainly look at the 3 samples and only refer to the portfolio if necessary. Hope this helps!

For the contribution application there is mentioned a needed resume
Is there any specific look or any important info that should be / should be in that resume? Or just art examples in resume and then in form's samples?
Hello! The portfolio should have at least 5 pieces of art, not including the 3 completed pieces submitted as samples.
Link Click Art is highly recommended but not required.
Judging of samples will be based on composition, use of color, among other factors.

Do the 5 portfolio pieces include the 3 completed pieces (5 pieces total), or is it 5 portfolio pieces + 3 completed pieces (8 pieces total)?

Hello! I saw that you're going with a pay-for-production zine. Are you aiming to provide contributors with free physical zines and merch, or will they have to pay at production price no matter what sales look like? (I saw your FAQ response to a similar question and wasn't sure if this is what you meant.) Thanks!
Hello! We will be going slightly above P4P prices to cover transaction fees, shipping materials etc. and contributor compensation. We aim to give all contributors a full bundle + shipping. Hope this helps!
