I’m personally not too fond of calling anime characters rats but!!! I can offer alternative question: who will have rat pets?

Kyou seems like a type to have unique favorites when it comes to pet, like dogs and cats are ok but anything other than that? good. Omg it’ll be funny if it kinda conflicts(?) with someone who loves cats. (Ren, Naoki, Tsuneto, Kai,etc)
