I’m curious, how did you start liking or taking an interest in solboo? I absolutely love their relationship, whether it’s platonic or romantic (because honestly, we’ll never know for sure what it is).
Lately, I’ve been watching this married couple on YouTube who react to Going Seventeen episodes while teaching Korean words and slang used by Seventeen. It’s so adorable because they’re genuinely so fond of sb and they sometimes get all giddy watching them because sb reminds them of THEIR dynamic, especially in the second MBTI episode because it’s so heartwarming to see how Vernon effortlessly calms Seungkwan down and how deeply he knows him.
Their personalities complement each other so perfectly, it’s like they’re made to understand one another. Watching them reminds me of how vast the world is, yet there’s still the possibility of meeting someone whose soul feels so intricately connected to yours. It really feels like the concept of a soulmate brought to life. What’s even more amazing is the idea that they are so different and yet they get the same results on these tests because they apparently spent so much time together growing up and have likely adjusted to accommodate each other’s feelings and temperaments. Vernon even said that he wouldn’t have had that result if he hadn’t met seungkwan. I grew up with my bestfriends too but we do not end up having the same mbti results lol.

i've been thinking abt this ask for a while but i think i haven't even really fully processed the entirety of why i like them (besides what i've talked abt on twitter or spaces or explored in fic) because they really have SUCH an arc and so many multitudes that it all sort of comes together to form this all consuming fascination i have with them.
when i get into a new group i'm a youtube compilation girly to help get a feel of major events/memes/topics within that fandom and especially to get an idea of group dynamics quickly. i loved seungkwan (he's so my flavour) and verkwan compilations of course are a given. at first it was just interesting to see who this lovely boy was close to and then the contrast between a very (imo) queer presenting seungkwan and vernon's look at demeanour and the obvious closeness they had despite their many overt differences was so interesting (and yes ofc i was looking for ships)

to summarise how i became interested in/started liking solboo:
when i get into a new group i'm a youtube compilation girly, to help get a feel of major events/memes/topics within that fandom and especially to get an idea of group dynamics quickly. i loved seungkwan (he's so my flavour) and verkwan compilations were basically inevitable. at first it was just interesting to see who this lovely boy was close to (and ofc i was looking for shipping potential heheh) and then the contrast between a very (imo) queer presenting seungkwan and vernon's look and demeanour and the obvious closeness they had despite their many overt differences was so interesting
i think the more you learn about solboo (and svt in general) the more fascinating and loveable they become. first it was just the surface level stuff for solboo, and then the glimpses of their bond, but then also the documented changes they've gone through and how they literally grew up in content and yet somehow remain tethered to each other. same age friends yes but i don't think there's any denying they have a unique bond where are both particularly special to the other (even if you don't ship it or like to think abt them making out like ME) i love the way they interact with each other: seungkwan's desire to give overt affection and vernon's gamely tolerance of this despite his nature; vernon's STARING PROBLEM, the infamous sb baby talk and the genuine delight they have for each other, etc. it's all fascinating. i love the values and personality traits they share, and the marked (but strangely complementary) differences between them, and how they are in a constant state of flux and compromise between it all. it just got me hooked right away and has kept me fascinated ever since???
