What forms of divination do you practice, if any? Why does it (or not) work for you?

I primarily work with the Tarot and other forms of cartomancy, oracle decks and Lenormand and whatnot. I love working with the Tarot and oracle cards because the images and messages always bring up a new perspective on whatever problem or situation I'm facing. I'll meditate on the message and somehow have a flash of insight.

I love decks that subvert expectations. The Tarot of the Silicon Dawn is wonderfully techno-feminist 97-card deck with void cards and extra fools and some really interesting new arcana. The WildWood Tarot also does some really interesting things with some of the arcana. I also have the Maybe Lenormand which is a 52-card Lenormand deck.

Right now I'm in love with the Mary Magdalene Oracle deck that just came out earlier this week, a 44-card deck based on themes and teachings in the Gospel of Mary, which is one of my absolute favorite texts.

I think it works for me by helping me connect with that part of myself that understands what's actually going on, and trusting that voice, whether that's Spirit or Intuition or Higher Self or Universal Mind or what have you. It's something that allows me to get out of my own way, if that makes any sense.
