hey, new here
I just loved the druid girl
it may sound silly but the fact that she has body hair just makes me love her even more!! her stout legs!! I feel seen, represented and beautiful? (because she is beautiful, and she is similar to me)
i keep getting people who say something similar to this and it just makes me so happy ❤️ it isnt silly i completely understand that feeling, the first time i saw my body type somewhere on the internet i too was overjoyed and validated and could start also romanticising it. now i do the same with my art and im glad it gives the same fantastic feeling to many others ⭐ thank you so much !
What would Micheal’s SPECIAL stats be?
When you draw nsfw, do you use references? If yes, would you recommend a site where you get them?
i scoured the internet and collected pictures of scanned vintage porn mags and photography, literally just typing that into the search engine, there's also a fair share of those circulating on twitter: vintageerotico, dumbsterfire1, retrohomo and then at times you gotta peruse some porn vids to get the right image youre lookin for, screenshot those, reference them, adjust where necessary. other times when nothings hitting i try to use the skeleton silhouette method but that doesnt always work out ¯\(ツ)/¯
An artist who draws ships on the ocean once told me that his secret was adding a bit of purple to the sky. Do you have any “unexpected” colors that you add to things to give more depth or vibrancy?
when i do draw with colour, i always find and excuse to add yellow in some way, im not entirely certain that it adds much most of the time, to me it does though. and then also shading with blues and pinks makes the darks look more interesting, in my opinion at least. a high contrast of light and shadow is the most important when dealing with depth and vibrancy, the way i understand it.
What program do you use to draw/ink your sketches
First off, your art is absolutely amazing and I love the style, would you ever do tutorials or guides? It's very similar to what I'm aiming for
thank you!! at the moment i do not do any tutorials, im not certain how to go about making one, as half the time i don't use a lot of guides myself, however maybe in the future when i have the time I'll figure out a way to form or categorize or illustrate the thought process and share the basics that i use for almost everything :) but genuinely for now my only advice is to make a routine out of art instead of making it inspiration/motivation based (if you cant do something creative then do studies to your hand and eyes can memorize), challenge yourself with different stuff (machines, shoes, cities - drawing stuff that is a pain, its different for everyone) allow yourself to play as in draw stuff that is very niche and catering only to you, passion projects of sorts because that will help you push yourself, and ofc eat and rest appropriately because a tired artist will always edge closer to burn out, which is never good.
i hope this helped at least a little. thank you for the question <3
Hi I was wondering if your ok with your art being used as a resource in my Uni work?(supporting document).I’m a big fan of your comic work and the grayscale work is a big inspiration for my own work.
What things do you use as reference?
besides the vast archive of pinterest theres movie stills [film-grab.com and others] i especially like using cinematography from 80s-90s horror/action movies n tv shows cus they fit stuff in the shot nice and obvious, old comics and illustrations spanning from the 30s to 90s (i have books of some!), at times i use myself + camera for very specific details if i cant find anything or cant see it in my head clearly.... for smut i like to look at scans of old porn mags and amateur stuff, or go down an internet rabbit hole lookin for stuff ... sketchfab.com is great for specific stuff sometimes too because you can move the models there too and many are free to use if its just reference! then also there's video games that can work very well for atmosphere/background references and such! taking a walk and taking pictures of things at times become very useful refferences too. basically, a lot of sources, but i hopefully i was detailed enough!
