Idgi, if you’re not liking the music or style direction, there are still so many different groups to potentially stan? Like critique exists, absolutely, but some are straddling between critiquing and controlling.
I think a lot of it has to do with the parasocial aspects of being a stan, it’s hard to let go of your groups 😭 and yeah it gets crazy controlling to a concerning degree, especially on that side since their celebrity culture is so different (?). I think it’s understandable though if you don’t like a few songs but if you don’t like most of them then you just gotta save yourself the trouble.
