the twt translation says "we'll work even harder to become a stry kds that we are not ashamed of". can you make out what word he uses in Korean for ashamed? ashamed seems like a strong word. is that a common, pat phrase (similar to 'you worked hard') that easily rolls off the tongue or did he choose that word specifically? I can't help but try to read more into it, that he felt like there was behaviour by a (very recently former) team member that stay knew about and he felt ashamed of. but maybe it's just a translation thing.
my auditory processing is pretty poor and he's crying, but from what i can tell, the syllables mostly match up with him saying 부끄럽지 않은 before stray kids which does actually mean without shame. i think you're right that it was about the scandal with their most recently absent member at that time, given what we know :(
