ok im of two minds. one: they're the perfect couple long distance, do calls every few days, visit when they can, and it works. theyre both low-maintenance, fulfilled by what they do, and it's enough for the both of them to carve out a little time and space for the other, yanno? osamu likes to video call impromptu or in between breaks if he knows suna is free. he sends suna vegetables sometimes. suna lives with him in the off season and its great because as much as he likes his personal space, he'd always had someone else in his business and it's comfortable to him. in my mind they don't stop being long distance until suna retires maybe?? real long engagement type of guys.

two: stupid gay idiot zone they break up horribly because they cant manage long distance. osamu gets irritable more easily, starts snapping at suna during their short time together, etc. they break up and get back together once theyve got their shit sorted out. :D
