You're right in that generally MXTX goods are not for profit, though it's a weird grey zone and I've seen plenty of merch that is P4P and plenty that aren't in conventions and online stores. In this specific case, this pre-order is a higher price than the previous P4P because I have to compensate The Beguiling for handling all store orders. The increased price is because a majority of the profits goes towards the store handling and towards printing. There's a very small remainder that goes towards myself and the remaining artists (approximately $1/each) and I thought it would be nice to treat it as a tip jar of sorts. I don't know if you care to see all the numbers, but it's something that was discussed with every artist beforehand. I try to be as forthcoming as possible with financial details, so feel free to ask more if you like!

TLDR; the increased cost is to compensate The Beguiling (%40), Print Cost (%50), and (%10) as a tip jar to be split amongst all artists.
