how/where do you study anatomy? any specific websites or techniques?
i haven't actively studied anatomy for a long time, but i think the best thing to learn how to do is to break things down into shapes and learn general proportions. you'll get a lot out of being able to just do rudimentary measurements with your fingers or whatever and see that, oh, the length of these legs is shorter than the rest of the body, or oh, these arms are coming down to the knees when it should be mid-thigh. studying flesh/form is sort of a whole other thing, but having a correctly proportioned skeleton underneath is what you need to start with. then you can take a stick figure and just sort of practice with adding more or less flesh to it. life/reference drawing is indispensable, trace over things, etc.
