they joined team present. their past was rocky a lot of the time and living in the moment is when they're the happiest. marie understood but makes a joking comment "so you want someone else to praise you is that it?"

with the performances, marie couldn't turf with them anyway. also, cap joined past and eight joined future, so they only really see each other when they're taking breaks. so cove spends the splatfest meeting randoms and hooking up with people between matches at the grand festival. they're pretty good at turf but get tired eventually and it just happens to be marie's break.

they go backstage to find her basically wearing nothing other than a towel after a quick shower. she's waiting for a fresh outfit and says it's too warm to get dressed. she tells them she has something custom made for them. it's all metal and white leather, just like the grandfest outfits, and suddenly they're strapped to a chair with their wrists and ankles cuffed, a leather collar around their neck too.

and marie sits on their lap. she tells them she has to destress and she's contributing by neutralizing her opposing team's top player. their thighs are spread by the restraints, so marie's ass is right against their groin as she leans against them.

she has a conversation with them, seemingly ignoring that she's just tied them to a chair and basically sat on them. she pats them on the head, gets a little handsy throughout, looks like she's going to actually do something when her alarm conveniently goes off....

and she uncuffs them, packing away the restraints, but she leaves the collar on.
