granted my pronunciation is terrible, but those words seem like they'd be pronounced almost exactly the same. is this some kind of cruel joke 😭
good thing I'm never traveling to Korea because I'd have no chance of understanding that in a loud club
the pronunciation is definitely different if you break it down slowly!
for 왼 you're gonna want to say 'wen' (sort of like, 'wren' without the r. or 'when' but quicker on the w). and 른 is 'reun' with more emphasis on the 'eu' sound. it's different from an 'u' sound in that with eu, your tongue is in the middle of your mouth and your teeth are almost touching together.
so the shape of your mouth is gonna be more open for 왼 and a lot flatter for 른. just listen to people saying left and right (왼쪽 / 오른쪽) for comparison, it helps!
