Hi! I noticed that some merch items are listed on both Animate and AmiAmi. Is there any reason why I would choose to order with one site or the other? I've never really ordered merch on my own before, and wanted to know a little bit more about the differences before making an order.
Amiami v. Animate: Amiami has all of the same merch - easy to order, multiple payment & shipping options and you can do monthly orders. whereas the only differences for Animate are that it has a bonus benefit item and you need to have a jp address/proxy to order from them. With Animate you have to jump through more hoops. In the case of the Fuwakororins- a set of 6 comes with a bonus plush at no extra cost. That way the GOM is able to divide the cost between 7 instead of 6 making it cheaper for everyone. I’ve hosted box splits for plushes from animate before and have ALWAYS divided the cost including the bonus benefit. ESPECIALLY if I’m claiming the bonus one.
Otherwise you’re basically getting a possible joiner/GOM who is getting a plush at no extra cost
