after preordering the zine, when will it be delivered? i didnt see a 'formatting' period on the zine schedule so i was just curious if it's already being formatted and will be delivered right after the preorder period ends? thanks for letting us know, im excited to see everything!

Hi mod team, I have a finances question for you — there have been several posts from other zines lately, indicating that misery is stepping up to take on finances due to the previous mod stepping back. What plan does this mod team have in place to make sure that Misery will be supported in her finance duties on this zine?
Hello Anon! This is Ellory, the head mod for Stray Arrow. Thank you very much for bringing up your concern and I decided to directly answer it. To answer your question, I will be requiring Misery to collaborate with me - including the log in information and reports of the finances to make sure we are on the same page and in case anything happens, the finances won't be locked out from our team. We will make sure if Misery needs any support, we are there to help out the best of our ability. I do also have a support of other mods experienced in finance that I know so anything urgent comes up, I can ask them about it if Misery isn't available. We understand money is a sensitive thing and we do not take the topic of finances lightly so we do appreciate your concern and have already addressed it. Thank you.

hi! is there a list somewhere of characters you consider secondary bow users since the application asks for characters?
Hi and thanks for your question! As there are several characters that can be reclassed to use bows (e.g. Severa being able to be reclassed as a Bow Knight) and a great number of existent Heroes alts (like Ascended Tana), we have decided to consider secondary bow users that appear in our contributors' pitches! If you'd like to add a secondary archer to your pitches, please let us know which class/alt they'll be in your work!

i think the idea of podficcers are a cool idea! how do we go about finding fics to read for applications? should they be our own fics? someone we know? one that we just find off of ao3? idk ive never seen a zine with this as an option but i think its rlly cool
Hi and thanks for your question! Podficcers can read their own works or works belonging to other writers. However, if you're going to read someone else's work, we recommend that you reach out to the author before recording!

Hi! I'm wondering why Leonie and Petra aren't included on the character list.
Hi! As Leonie’s default weapon is a lance and Petra’s is a sword, we didn’t consider them for our main bow users list. However, we totally consider them secondary bow users, so feel free to include them in your pitches if you’d like!

why are only digital artworks permitted in an artists’ portfolio for the application criteria?
So we reviewed that part of the info doc and double checked with the layout mod, and we can accept traditional art. The info doc has been updated that traditional art examples can be accepted as well. We will be grading both with the same requirements and we’d like to see examples of complete pieces in the medium, style and quality you intend to create for the zine.

will you be releasing a character list?
Yes, we will! Since our interest check is currently ongoing and we are considering secondary bow users as well, so we are going to wait for the results for that before we release it! Though we do already have some characters in mind, primarily the main bow users in the cast! We will keep everyone updated and make an individual post when that releases.

hello i'm a little confused about your answer to the trans question. i don't believe there's anything inherently nsfw about being trans. what implications are you worried about, exactly? like how will you determine which trans hcs to accept or reject

So we mentioned this already, but this was phrased extremely poorly at a time when the person who answered it was not thinking clearly. We will be accepting trans hcs and that has already been updated on the carrd!

Hello! So this is a really great question! So, the most vital difference is that we will be focusing on all the bow users of Fire Emblem, not just Three Houses! One of our biggest points is that we are deliberately planning on trying to get as many bow users from the series as possible!

For illustrations, is shading required? I'd love to contribute with a piece, but I am not great with shading.
When we open applications, we do recommend that you show the best of your ability. We will judge fairly based on what we need and how your style adapts without shading.

Are non-archer characters reclassed to Archer (e.g. archer Atlas, a non-archer Einherjar (Awakening) reclassed to Archer/Sniper w/Second Seal) allowed?
