You mentioned a crack theory on Toya and l2d models and I wanted to ask about it... Mostly because I'm tired of 5/5 Toya events and still no baby model despite his younger self appearing so much ever since mainsto or basically no new l2ds for anyone appearing on his events. I think I remember reading someone's theory saying that Toya didn't accept his past/felt any pride from it which is why we couldn't see his child model. But tfc was almost a year ago and I think it covered most of that part. We even got Toya5 (ttto? Ugly acronym.. t3o? It's giving Ao3) and there's still no baby Toya. Baby Toya got official art before a model, and he's literally in the t1 when it comes to characters with most younger self cameos/appearances, tied with other characters that had had a young l2d since the first appearance of a flashback. HIS LITERAL COLORFES CARD UNTRAINED, WHICH ARE ALL SET ON THE OWNER'S RESPECTIVE FRAGMENT SEKAI, IS A SUPPRESSED MEMORY FROM WHEN HE WAS JUST A BABY... there has to be something they're hiding. So I don't really think any theory could count as "crack theory" anymore because there's just Something™ more. Also you're like the vbs predictor ever (aibou cameos. The waoa predictions thread was just insane honestly) so you're my safest and n1 go-to when it's about vbs theories
omg thank u its an honor. i do have a penchant for predicting touya content. ill link my tweet where i explained elsewhere below this but yes my thoughts are pretty similar on why touya live2d doesnt exist though i think it's more of a trauma response. which like, not to say touya "not accepting his past/unable to feel pride from it" isn't but more like "trauma gives you memory issues" lol. which considering touyas fes untrained yes its a suppressed memory of his baby self but also its got this weird static filter over it that you dont see in other flashback cards, which are usually brightly lit and warm. imo indicates touya repressing the memories to the point where the details are fuzzy. could also be why he often returns to the same flashback (mou yubi wa) and has to really dig for the other memories, but often views them in a negative way (concerto). i think even though concerto addressed a lot of it, it didnt magically make years of repressing emotions/memories go away so his brain is just kind of fucked in regards to his childhood --> therefore has a very hazy image of what he was like as a child. he'd have to see it from an external perspective, maybe (bloomfes...)
also. i think ill just call that event "haven" like i call lsv "flyer" more often than not. ttto is flop
