If you could only choose between loving or being loved, which one would you choose? And what about the reason?

Being loved, I think. A selfish choice, indeed. But to love someone, I'm not sure how to do that as I feel like what I did was pushing them away when all I wanted was the other way around. Perhaps, if I'm able to feel loved, I'd know how to give the feelings back to them.
