Hi Miss Sulbi. I've been liking your work for a while (coughs years). It's so pretty and always makes me smile (it might sound a bit silly, but yes, that's the reaction your drawings do to me). Do you mind if I ask you something? Do you have any recommendation for someone that wants to start in digital art? I came to here because as soon as I thought about digital art you popped in my head. I don't know if getting an iP*d is a good start. Or which one is the best app.
I hope Miss Sulbi is doing well 😊
I would recommend an ipad because compared to other devices I prefer drawing directly on the surface without looking at other screens. This might be a very personal reason to buy one but I like to draw on the go, so for me it was very useful to also not forget ideas and just sketch roughly before completing the work later. If it is your first purchase wouldnt buy a big ipad I think the small version is perfectly fine for sketching and it has an ok price compared to other bigger/newer versions and it's good to take along.
For finding a personal style...I dont really know how to help other than saying looking/recreate art styles that you feel align with what you want to draw? I personally read so many mangas and have so many artbooks of artists I loved since I was like...10yo that at this point my style established itself just by absorbing all those art styles and taking apart certain features and vibes I love. So for you I would say the same I guess look at artists you admire, look at their arts, their style, the emotins the convey and try to recreate it? I dont think there is nothing wrong with trying to recreate a certain art style or pose for the sake of improving c:
