SCUFTYICHSU i think it's really funny that i got two zb1 related asks close to each other when i don't think i've ever talked abt them on this acc ever bc i just kinda fell out of them (their music isn't really my thing and the yaoi got boring and also two of my guy(s) didn't make the group)

i think ur talking abt strike below the ribs which is... still a fic i sometimes can't believe i wrote! haha i think it's definitely a big stylistic jump from the rest of my stuff and i was experimenting a lot with the tone and the choppiness of it... im generally somebody who writes really big long paragraphs and that fic was very concise (for me LOL) and was meant to be impactful every other word... i LOVEEEEE my rancid toxic yaoi so woonghao was so fascinating to me back then bc they were so awkward with each other but there was just so much POTENTIAL... i haven't caught up with them much these days but like. wow... these face cards... together... n just thinking of jiwoong and hao are people who are more shrewd gives me a lot to work with... im really glad you enjoyed the fic even if i don't remember how i wrote it HAHA

TAT i wish i had better news for you but im not really interested in writing non-ateez (well. to be specific. non-mingi centric.) fics right now... i didn't even really expect to be writing zb1 fic in the first place. it was just supposed to be one or two fics to jumpstart me back into writing after a long break and then i'd get back into the swing of things with "proper" ateez fics... i don't think I'll ever write properly for zb1 again to be honest bc i just don't really have much interest in them anymore... but i won't say it's impossible though!!! maybe one day in a crossover fic or some sort... i do have some crack cross-group ships that im considering writing and adding to the... jebeteez series (aka the kcon fuckverse). i have a,,,, wip? (i guess you could call it that) of a cross-group pwp that i might one day write for my best friend but i will say right now that it's not a zb1 member so i wouldn't get your hopes up :(((( but if you're interested in ateez at all you can check out some of my newer fics!!! I'm going to be writing for them mainly moving forward and you might find something you end up liking :)

LMFAOOO op i'll be real i don't really... go to the zb1 rps sphere anymore (it skews a bit too... young for me) but im still friends with a lot of zeroses so... yeah, i hear a lot about haobin. yeah haobin are kinda... just insane like genuinely insane like im sort of fascinated as to what's going to happen when disbandment rolls around... but yeah i think it's hard to deny how... um... Real... they are esp knowing they're both men with queer(...?) backgrounds. they are completely insane and definitely some form of dating and every clip i get sent of them just makes me double take...

rps wise i think i lost a lot of interest in them (and in turn the group) when hao won and hanbin got 2nd... (even though they don't really get treated as such. which could be interesting.) it was just too much domestic bliss for me i like my yaoi a bit toxic and rancid and also they're A Bit Too Real and it's a little scary... i really do think if hanbin won and hao got 2nd they would have been massively more interesting in the long run to me just because. well. there's more potential for toxic yaoi there

i really don't go to the zb1 rps store anymore SORRY i don't have anything more concrete to offer you TAT,,, but i'm always free to talk if u still wanna hear abt my very limited opinion!!!!

HIIII DID SOMEBODY SAY BOOKS I LOVE TALKING ABOUT BOOKS first of all TAT thank youuuuu for the sweet compliment second of all BOY OH BOY do i have BOOKS for you

of course i am your local kurt vonnegut FREAK i've read pretty much every thing he's ever written!! i think if you like my writing style in particular you'd definitely enjoy his stuff bc my writing is super inspired by his. you'll notice that i love doing like. small fourth-wall breaks (addressing the reader with 'you might have noticed...' or 'you already know...') which is something i've definitely gotten from his writing. out of his books i think 'slaughterhouse 5' is a must read (his most famous and the staple of his writing) and my favs are 'sirens of titans' (this book changed my life) and 'cat's cradle'. i loveeee the way vonnegut uses humor and plays with metaphors and motifs. i think the way he talks about time and uses non-linear narratives in his works is also just. badonkers. off the rails. crazy good. and def something I'm a lot inspired by. please go read a book of his. you won't be disappointed

vonnegut is def my biggest inspiration but i enjoy reading a lot of other stuff!! i AM an English (literature) major so reading and talking about it is literally part of the job HAHA

i'd also highly recommend neil gaiman's stuff. his 'sandman' comics are literally like. the foundation of me really getting into playing with medium. from his actual novels/prose writing i quite enjoy 'the ocean at the end of the lane' and 'stardust'

im also currently reading through some of r.f.kuang's works! i finished reading 'babel' a few months ago and REALLY enjoyed it. i'll probably read 'yellowface' soon and have high expectations for it. in general i really enjoy reading asian diaspora (which is funny, because i /am/ asian but im not diasporic) so of course i really enjoy kazuo ishiguro's stuff!! i haven't read all of his stuff yet but i really enjoyed 'the remains of the day' and 'the buried giant'. ocean vyong's 'on earth we're briefly gorgeous' immediately sticks out to me in this category.

im HUGE on poetry too. i consume a lot of it. anything carol ann duffy i've probably read, and i mostly like. lurk on poetry foundation's website and read whatever they recommend. bit more difficult to rec anything bc with poetry i kinda just read anything that comes up, but im a big fan of philip larkin's poetry in particular!!

anon you don't even know how happy you've made me to get to talk abt books LOL i could go on and on and on but alas. character limit. i also enjoy reading comics a lot (in particular dc and batman-related stuff)! im currently keeping up with the nightwing run (not the greatest thing on earth and really fanservicey but eh. he's my fav character) as well as a few selected batman runs. im also currently keeping up with the bnha and jjk mangas LOL. if you're interested the next book on my to read list is donna tartt's the secret history! i got recced it by a friend last year and need to find time to sit down n crack it open.

well!! last time i checked i was definitely 21!! i've been writing fic since i was 16 so i've definitely had time to practice and get better haha my earliest stuff was,,, very bad. you couldn't waterboard my old pseuds out of me. n i was writing pretty consistently throughout 2018-2021 (took a bit of a break for personal reasons during 2022) and slowly eased my way back into it in 2023. it's a work in progress!!! ALSO i am an English major haha so i do get to read and write a lot for my studies/job etc.

im working on a few longfics right now!!! hopefullyyyyy i will be able to get one of them out in june, and then there will be a pwp for sn's bday, and then i have a fic im writing for rarepair fest too so that will be coming out some time in august... we'll see!

IT'S OKAY,,, horniness is also the main fueling emotion for my writing so. heh. AND MAKING A SERIES OUT OF IT... i can't say i've thought abt it (mostly bc i don't think i could write anything without mg being a main featuring character and like... he can't fuck /everybody/) but im not opposed to doing the yh sequel just bc i think it would be fun... to me the yh sexuality in the verse goes a little sth like. he's "straight" (much repression is involved and he definitely Does Not Have Feelings For Mg Whatsoever Haha. he is Straight. after all.)
