but yeah that part was soooo. jeonghyeon was so giggle and smiley and CUTE in general but he did look proud. i wonder if jeonghyeon ever read that interview bit that hanbin was too embarrassed to say in front of him so he whispered it in the interviewers ear and if jeonghyeon did read it how he felt about it

yes, but it’s kind of long and complicated and a culmination of multiple things. also it’s not only kennve who are mad, jennve are also pretty pissed right now.

reallly really simplified and abridged version - about a week ago there was a cafe event through ktown with 20 winners. because the winner list was so small, people spent a LOT of money to go (think at least 1k usd). the event was kind of mid and had a lot of restrictions.

then suddenly at a really random time when most ennve were either on their way home from the it’s live recording or already asleep, jelpi drops a kkt open chat room via hints on the instagram channel. this ultimately ended up being a free cafe event for 50 people with waaaaay better benefits and treatment.

kennve are mad because they feel dropping that kind of event with no announcement is unfair. they also question jelpi’s intent with the event as it does nothing to promote evnne or the album (not even a single album purchase required) but also excluded most ennves (so not really a gift to ennves either). to be clear they all understand that there will be events not everyone can participate in - the part they’re upset about is the execution.

jennves are upset because basically for the ktown cafe 18/20 winners were jennves. kennves were pissed about this at the time too. jennves feel really wronged by the free event since they spent so much money on the ktown one and some of them feel like this event wasn’t actually random but that jelpi actually invited the fansites as some sort of apology for the winner list being mostly jennves for the paid one. there is no proof of this being the case (10:15 is the only one i’ve seen address it but she did explicitly say that this was not the case) but this is how people are feeling right now.

both sides also feel like why should we be paying so much money for something if jelpi is randomly going to do the same thing but better for free. shouldn’t everyone just wait and try to apply for the free event then? on top of that ennves who go to offline fansigns regardless of where they’re from have been begging jelpi to raise the winners from 40 to 50 for literally over a year so jelpi making this event that already upset a lot of people in its execution 50 winners was like salt in the wound.

sorry this is still kind of long and i hope i explained it well there’s a lot of different opinions going around about the cafe event so this is really oversimplified but basically everyone is furious at jelpi and people are extra furious because the timing with music bank voting since ennves mostly felt really good after the it’s live recording and that mood was spoiled by this happening (though everyone still pulled through for voting!)
