Hope youre having a good day today and you get some well earned rest!
Do you have a fursona
is there a texture you enjoy to touch. with your hands
what is ihs
ihs is the current working name for this media im working on, it was kind of word salad from the first suzy and pascual comic strip i made last sept 2021. but the basics of the story is that its an "underground" society thats basically a complement of how we live on the surface. most of it is just quirky interpersonal babble between characters and the world, a good bit of inaccurate topology, a lot of fog and groundwater, and just a ridiculous amount of wordplays. oh and there is this totally normal phenomena of thinking patterns manifesting into their reality i guess. this doesnt make it clear on what it is at all, but its mostly just worldbuilding and plotting right now. and the general plot inertia is, there is no surface world at all and their world is closed and contained. And they just gotta deal with it.
tell us about your least favorite media you ever actually watched/played/whatever
this one is difficult because so many of shit i end up hating becomes disposable memory in my head, and a lot of media that makes it eugh for me is simply Other circumstances, or some pet peeves... theres one that comes to mind but i thought it was novel. i guess just for the sake of it the one that comes to mind is that damned doors game and we all know why probably. but i dont mind getting specific just probably not on Here
here's a free pass to complain about whatever you want. Let it rip
i did not know this stuff did not come to me naturally but heres one petty one. ive been taking way too long on doing notes for a half hour fucking lecture and i am so annoyed at myself but also my fucking god if i dont read this shit through i will perish but also For Gods Sake.... myehhh kinda weak
what is your favorite piece(s)?
what do you like most about your art?
my opinions on the visuals change, so what i like about my art is that its just a way of releasing whatever troubling sensations i get from time to time, or in a less negative sense, just the feel of the texture, emotion, and stuff is what makes it appealing for me. people like to say its soft or rough whenever appropriate and i agree all the time when people compliment me via that. it might be the missing piece of "why do people [still] like my nonsense art"
who are your art inspirations?
any oc lore that first comes to mind?
the mountain in That Recent Story is actually just an early perception of this landform/geological feature in the cave from ihs. it doesnt mean the mountain is the same thing but its a good playground to flesh out the geological feature in ihs. theres no hidden underground secret and treasures because its been mostly unexplored and ihs is already set underground lol
what type of color palettes do you tend to use
How have you been doing this week? Get up to anything interesting lately?
This week is week one for most of my subjects, so ive just been in and out of lectures and such. The only interesting thing ive done this week is maybe some math, but also my concept work on The Story About That Mountain Guy. Week went ok, but today was just a huge package of whiplash for every scale i guess. Im just sort of worried about this quiz i have to take because we dont have power
what types of game tend to get ur attention? :)
i was going to make an answer that puts the conditions on what video games DO NOT get my attention or ones i actively avoid but its fine. generally games get my attention when it comes to visuals or design (like a novel mechanic or something) or the story. some friends recommend for me based on things they know id like usually. it could be in any genre, i think ultrakill proved that i did not fall with grace from fps. try something kitschy from an already existing genre, but with a good balance in elements. but also a strong visual direction is already interesting enough, as long as i can afford it lol (like performance wise and money wise)
how has your art changed over time? were there any surprising shifts?
big time. only a fraction of people from before 2019 know how my art was pretty sloppy, but overtime my anatomy got better. until at some point in 2019 i decided to really start painting. i wish i could get that excited over it again but lol. i think also in theme, because my art got more "bland" in color or just the grimy warm colors i like to use. If you went back to my 2019 art and go Wow uh good colors, i think youd be disappointed that all i do is paint landscapes normally. I calmed down over time, but yeah. Im not sure how people out and in my audience would react to it.
