one of the arguments i see most often when ppl are trying to downplay gojo and megumi’s relationship (plantonically and romantically) is that one answer where megumi describes gojo as “his benefactor” as a “see they don’t care about each other that much!!!!!” type beat. ah yes, fushiguro megumi, famous for being very open with his feelings and how much the people in his life mean to him. that’s why he and his sister were the best of friends, close as close could get, before she fell into a coma and he devoted his new life as a sorcerer to her awakening and lost the will to continue when he lost her for good. also the same guy who said “if you die again i’ll kill you myself” instead of just telling yuuji he’s worried about him. clearly he is very genuine abt thinking gojo is an idiot despite how clear it is that he holds him in high respect 🫶 i’m not expected much from gg but i would appreciate a little bit of emotion from him again 👀
Tbh, I don't interact with that side of the fandom that much, so I don't see any of the arguments made, but that argument is so weak! Like you said, Megumi wasn't the nicest person to his sister when she was still around, but you could tell the love he held for her was immense through the actions he took, to ensure her safety. And with the Prison Cube arc, Megumi was the one who was the most determined to save Satoru, going as far as to beg Kirara for their assistance.
And yeah, you're right, Anon!! Even though I know that GoFushi's care for e/o is both deep and mutual, it'd be nice to see some outward expression of their emotions :')
