I can stare at your art for so long, I wonder how long does a drawing (illust or comic) usually take you?
it really depends 😭 quick drawings and sketches can take like an hour, a little more if im flat colouring it or adding monochrome tones loosely
if im lining it it potentially doubles my time, and double again if i decide to colour cleanly and shade … i think on average a full colour art is like 4-6 hrs and comics can get to 24 hrs total or more 💀 i also rarely do backgrounds but when i do… for example that one miya twins art was like. 16 hrs i think lol bc i was rendering everything from scratch bc i love 2 torture myself
basically if im drawing for myself and keeping it messy i can be really fast but when i have to make it clean and professional i can take AGES bc i have to do lineart and i can get a little perfectionist with it… and when i colour i have to put more care into colouring between the lines and stuff

Your morning kiss atsukita comic is my 2am mac n' cheese I visit that comic every once in a while and bookmark then rebookmark it just so I can remember how soft you drew them i feel like if you slit open my chest you'll find user iimaletdown's atskt art running through my veins

i just need to say tysm for streaming!! i’ve been so motivated due to it that i keep thinking about drawing throughout the week and was drawing for hours on end this last weekend! it’s also so reassuring to see you draw cause it reminds me that it’s ok if the process is slow sometimes, or if i have to redo a line over and over again skfjslfj but actually it’s been so nice so ty!!

hi tel, do you draw anatomy based on imagination or do u use refs for everything? im trying to practice more with anatomy bc im always reliant on refs but idk how to start ahhhh
i always start by drawing from imagination LOL but whenever it looks like dogshit or im having trouble trying to recreate the image in my head, i will look up refs 🫡
i didnt do it on purpose im just stubborn but i think theres like an actual strategy to learning (shrimp method?) thats basically what i do -> first u attempt to draw from memory, then look for a reference pic and u draw it again with the reference but you actually //look// at it and figure out what you didnt know about it before, u study it and add it to your internal library, then u draw it again with the new info in mind and no reference and thats how u solidify that knowledge in your head
its something i ended up doing on accident on my own lol! but its a legitimate method!!

Hi I'm sp happy you started streaming, but if it's not too much to ask, could I request that the font colour of your comments be something other than white? The contrast against the pale yellow is really hard to read bit I love seeing your interactions with the audience🥹 but if you don't want to then feel free to ignore this lol🙂↕️

Gaasp speaking of procreate, during the stream I noticed that there were little marks on the brush size wheel, what are those? Is it like short cuts for a set brush size?
ALSO Congrats on getting adhd meds! Those are a life changer, wishing you a very productive year 💪
yes its for u to set brush sizes !!! its nice when you want to remain consistent, to do it u choose a size u like on the slider and hold it until the brush shape appears, then u press the + sign in the corner to lock that size
AND TYYY theyre saving my life rn .. is this how normal people feel thats crazy
