First off I see them both as bisexual since the whole region of Liyue is just so shippable to me, so I like to imagine that despite Xiao's jealous nature, they share their common attraction and talk about pretty girls and boys they see, though no person will ever be as adorable as how Xiao and Aether see each other. I have a bunch of AUs as well, most of them domestic and the other half are just FULL of angst, my favorite one being an AU that Xiao grows his adeptus wings back with time, and it makes it easier for him to travel to check up on aether when Liyue isn't under serious attack, but one day as he's watching over him, he tried to help Aether as he's in surrounds by enemies, and ends up damaging one of his wings :'))) Its a constant reminder of his promise to protect Aether, but Aether will always be there for Xiao as he's recovering with Baizhu.
