Why would you defend yaoi when it's a genre used purely to fetishize and exploit queer men?
Read bara instead and support queer authors.
- if you think yaoi/bl is just about fetishizing/exploiting queer men... (sighs)
- i read works from queer authors, including that by queer men.
- many Japanese authors wish to remain anonymous and not disclose their sexuality and/or gender so the possibility that a bl work has been done by a queer person themselves is not zero (0).
- actually, i've read a couple of bara mangas out of curiosity lol
- i already support queer authors
