Cause you read a lot of manga, why do you think sports manga (that don't have romance tag & especially shounen) have that strong homoerotism subtext? Like most sports series must have quite a lot of m/m shippers right?

Hm I'm not quite sure about ur question. I myself only got into sports manga/anime 2 years ago and I still haven't read or watched much 🤔 that's a good question tho. M/M shippers can be find in many fandoms, not only in sports one ! So I didn't find it that weird when I (for example) watched Haikyuu for the first time and went online just to find a ton of ship fanart haha but thinking srsly, perhaps the string homoerotism subtext comes from the authors trying to convert the strong emotions of the characters and somehow they get carried away...? Perhaps it's s marketing strategy since shipping culture is so big now and more out there than when I was younger...? Or maybe they just simple like it? That would be a good question for an interview with an editor of a sport manga mangaka 🧐
