Will Kaeya and Diluc be allowed as a ship? Specifically a QPR, if it matters. That is the only Mondstadt-based MLM ship I really like, so I wanted to make sure to not waste anyone's time.
While we plan on featuring Diluc/Kaeya in our zine, queerplatonic ships don’t quite fit the theme of our project. However, non-Mondstadt ships are included in the zine as long as they're represented in Mondstadt for the zine piece. If there is another Genshin MLM pairing that you're invested in and would like to contribute with, please consider applying with them!

hi! for writers, do you accept samples in the form of twitter threads? or should I transfer my works over to ao3?
Threadfics are fine, however we would like to see how they would translate to a continuous format, so please submit your work as a continuous text. You can also submit it in a Google Doc if that is easier for you than AO3.

How tentative is the schedule? It seems like there's a really wide gap between stages (excluding work check-ins)
Our schedule presented on the Carrd is set this way for the reason that the preorder date is not finalized or set in stone. We want to give room to contributors for extensions for the final submissions, and we aim to have formatting started/almost completed before preorders launch, so as to expedite our production phase.

We're planning on accepting between 25 and 30 page/comic artists, 5 writers, 2-3 poets, and 5-6 merch artists.

Hello, quick question, I'm a little confused.
Do contributors get to choose what ship they write/draw for? Also, do BOTH characters have to be from Mondstat- or can one be from another region?

Thanks for asking! Contributors will be invited to give us a list of ships they’re willing to write/draw for and we will assign them one of those ships upon acceptance. You can either select from the list we have provided based on our interest check results or add your own. Rarepairs are also welcome.
Available ships include characters from both Mondstadt and other nations, but all artworks and fanfiction in the zine will be set in Mondstadt. The two characters can be from different regions.
For example, you could list Venti and Xiao together in Mondstadt (1 Character from Mond, 1 Character from Liyue together in Mondstadt), or you could list Alhaitham and Kaveh together in Mondstadt (Both characters from Sumeru together in Mondstadt).

Hello! I have a question, i would like to submit as comic artist but the only samples i'm working are for projects that can't be posted right now or just rough sketches i did for fun, what could i do in this case?
Hello! We'd definitely like to see at least one comic sample, the rough sketch is acceptable and we recommend you include a note somewhere that you're the artist with the project that cannot be shared publicly. We also recommend that if this is a project you are working on for someone else that you reach out to them and obtain permission first and mention that you will be sharing it for the purpose a zine application, where only the mods of the zine will see it. Hopefully that answers your question, please feel free to follow up with additional questions as needed!

Hi! I have a sample that uses poetic language and depicts a m/m Genshin relationship, but it's prose and over the line count by virtue of it being a prose piece. Is it possible to display it somewhere in a poetry application?
Yes! As long as it's only one of the three samples and you provide a note about it in the comments, we can accept that.

Hi! At what point will the contributor know what ship they're going to create for?
After contributor applications close and results are sent out, the email will contain additional information including the ship you will be creating for.

Is it necessary to list an Aether ship? I personally don't have any interest in drawing stuff for him and if I do get accepted I don't want to be assigned a ship with him in it either...
There is a N/A (Non-Applicable) answer option in our applications under the Aether ship list for those who wish to opt-out of any ships involving Aether, so you would not be assigned a pairing with him if you are accepted!
