are you planning on selling digital merch too? if yes, what types of digital merch did you have in mind?
Hello! Yes, we do plan to have digital merch as well. However, we will not have artists whose roles are exclusively dedicated to digital merch. That being said, the final lineup will strongly depend on the creation period. At the very least, it is safe to expect variations such as wallpapers, icons and an optional PDF add-on. We will not be doing printables.
Rest assured, we will announce these changes as soon as possible. Thank you!

Can you make a full list of every characters role in the school? I saw the administrator and teacher lists, but I feel like it’s not encompassing enough. Maybe clarify the students too. Also are you going to clarify which teachers teach which subjects? My only worry is that there could be two drawings where the same class is being taught by different teachers.
If you don’t care and want it to be left to interpretation, that’s fine too!
Hello! While there are preassigned roles and responsibilities for certain characters, many of them are still open to interpretation since we would like to leave the creative liberty up to our contributors. Accepted contributors will be provided a handbook as well, which they can refer to for detailed information on our Teyvat Academy universe and worldbuilding. During the pitch selection process as well as the general creation phase, the mods will be making sure that there are no overlap in roles for any character so as to avoid the scenario you mentioned above. What is the writers and artists ratio that you would be accepting? And is there a particular reason why writing pitches will affect whether one gets selected to participate in the zine? Thanks!
We will be accepting 20 page artists, 4 merch artists and 5 writers (not including guests)! Writer pitches will affect whether an applicant gets accepted because there is a limited number of slots available for writers in this zine, so pitches will give us a better idea of what applicants can offer. We are more likely to accept writers who have more developed ideas and a clearer understanding of what they would like to write, since we know what to expect from them upon acceptance. Can you elaborate a bit more on the expectations for a written letter would be in the zine?
Thank you for the question! A written letter for the zine can be either formal (by the principal or teachers to students or their parents) or informal (students to their penpals/family). These letters can also be in the form of email correspondence. You will be allowed to choose between writing only one letter within the set word count, or multiple. Hope this answers your question!

For the writers application, do all of our samples have to be complete works? Or can we include excerpts of works as long as we have at least one complete sample of 2-3k?
Hello! Not all samples have to be complete works. Only one of them have to be a complete piece within 2k-3k words, and the rest can be excerpts.

Hi! In guidelines it mentions that "no explicit romantic content" but in the promotional art it implies ship content between ei and yae miko with the yuletide ball, could i get more clarification on what is meant by the "no explicit ship content" rule?
Hi there! Our promotional art isn't meant to have any romantic implications toward any of the characters depicted. As mentioned in a previous response to another question, crushes and gossip are part and parcel of school life, so we decided to play with that theme when it came to our promotion for the Yuletide Ball. For an event like this, it's difficult to depict characters completely platonically due to the romantic implications of asking out a fellow student or colleague to a school event such as a ball.
If it is executed properly in context with the said exceptions, we might be able to accept some subtle implications of romance. However, we would like to keep avoid heavily-implied romance or ship-centric content as far as possible. Hope this answers your question!

(GENSHIM SUMERU SPOILERS) I read that fatui wouldn’t be included in the school. Does this include Wanderer even though he’s no longer in the fatui? Also, wasn’t childe on the list of included characters or am I misremembering something.
Hello! The Fatui will be included in the school. The list of characters on our Information Document is meant to clarify which characters will be featured on our fictional identification cards. Both Childe and Wanderer, as long as any other harbinger, may be featured in content for this zine!

Hello! In the writer requirements, what exactly do you mean by "writing styles"? Would it be like, including a prose piece, an article, an interview...? And would that be recommended for the main samples or is it okay if they're just in the portfolio? Thank you!
Hello! We advise writers to submit a variety of writing forms in their application so that we have a better understanding of their grasp on literary forms. So, as you said, it would mean submitting articles or interview transcripts alongside prose. It would be best to showcase these in your samples, rather than your portfolio, as it would catch our eye faster! Hope this answers your question!

Hi! How much time will the page artist have to finish the artwork? I was thinking about joining, but as a student I'm not sure if I will be able to finish on time. I also don't think that I have enough samples to provide, especially because my recent works are better than the old ones :( I haven't done much genshin art either :(
Hi there! The final submission will be on March 30th, but there will be three mandatory check-ins between acceptance and the final deadline. Although these are compulsory, contributors may ask for extensions or contact a mod so that we can cater to your preferences to the best of our abilities!
