Hi! Ou this is interesting. I mean like you said, ultimately it's your story so you have every right to do with it what you want. But I would imagine there's probably a lot to the original version that wouldn't apply to your new fandom? And probably, also, your own writing has undergone some growth if enough time has passed? If it were me, I know it would be the kind of thing where I'd probably do substantial rewrites just to make it work to my current-day writing level and to the new fandom, so the fic wouldn't be close to the same. But yea idk what you were planning on doing! Maybe disclose as much, or delete the older work--probably you're coming at it from an angle of "oh this would really work for this pairing in this other fandom" but some people might not see it as such.

Hi! It depends, honestly! I’m a mood reader, so generally I’ll either do one after the other, or one of each at the same time that are varied enough in tone/themes to help w the moodswings, if that makes sense haha. So like—if I’m reading a published romcom, I’ll focus on that before picking up a long fic! But if I’m in the mood for non-fiction or something literary, I’ll usually have a fic on my Kindle going at the same time for those moments I want something more fun/sweet/romantic! I hope that makes sense haha.

Figuring out a flow is tricky sometimes but if you work with how you normally read (for ex if you have to finish the stuff you read in one sitting or else you’ll never finish it, or if you only read during commutes do maybe alternating is better etc) then you’ll find your groove!!🙏🏼💖

Hi, firstly thanks for saying that, and secondly sure!! I work as an editor in a technical capacity at a pretty big company. It’s more or less just a desk job which enables me to edit/ work on other people’s writing. It gives me the title I want and the experience I need to continue moving in this industry/field, and it comes with benefits and a steady income as opposed to working freelance, so! For now it works.

When I was a student, I felt super lost. I remember making an appointment with a career counsellor simply to look at what my options were bc the future just looked like this vast uncertain thing. I was studying writing (creative, professional, and then also as an honours literature student) so I knew that was the field I wanted to work in, I just didn’t know how, you know? And the truth is, I was working a job that had nothing to do with any of this for a year after graduating which was similarly hard to handle. What I’d say is: take it day by day, and don’t let the pressure of a capitalist hustle culture that’s obsessed w convincing you that “you should ALWAYS BE WORKING TOWARD SOMETHING” stop you from taking the time you need to figure out what the right next move is. It’s okay to be lost and confused and unsure. It’s also okay to know exactly what you want and to throw yourself into it full throttle. Both are equally valid.
