Hi! I wrote to you a few months ago thanking you for the YJ wanting to live scene. Sooo I wanted you to know that at the time I was dealing with an escalating chronic health condition and was told I needed surgery. But I'm scared of surgeries and specifically anesthesia bc I had a friend die from a bad reaction; coupled with some depression last fall I was being passively suucidal and wouldn't book surgery. And then your work encouraged me to try to live, so I booked the surgery and wrote that to you.... and I had it yesterday and it went well! I'm at home with my cat and dog, sore, but looking forward to a healthier future.
hiii anon omg i’m so sorry it took me so long to get back to you but one, i don’t really check my rs anymore and i use tell instead! and two, read this a few days ago but i wanted to wait until i could properly articulate how much this message means to me before responding. it’s still crazy to me that something that was meant to be a guilty pleasure, silly fic of mine turned out to be something with so much meaning to both me and the readers. it really makes me so happy that your surgery went well. and i’m so proud of you for getting it done. that was extremely brave of you and took a lot of courage. so it really does make me happy to hear that you went through with it and things are looking up now! i also wanted to say that i’ve been in a writing slump recently. the writers block has been hitting me hard. but this message encouraged me to sit down and try writing again. i didn’t get much done, but at least the beginning of the next chapter is written now! anyways thank you again for telling me this and i hope you continue to recover well!
