I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on touyas backstory chapters because I feel like when those came out everyone immediately was like oh so dabi is just a bratty kid who wanted attention and they totally wrote off all his trauma

i don't know how anyone could read those chapters and.... not understand? touya's story is practically biblical— the favorite son who is ultimately cast aside in favor of the new baby is a trope as old as time.
touya DID want attention. that doesn't make him bratty! and the neglect he dealt with was different than fuyumi or natsuo, because he'd been in the spotlight before and knew what it felt like. the lack of attention was bigger than just that— it was an indicator of his "failure" as a son. i mean, touya said it himself; he wanted to prove he wasn't a mistake. whether endeavor meant to or not, his love APPEARED to hinge on the abilities of his children. touya's body starting to deteriorate in a home environment like that would have been immensely traumatizing.
and dabi still holds onto that. that whole performance during the war, that was for endeavor. he wanted his father to SEE him, to realize he'd underestimated his son, that HE had made a mistake.

the after care of dabi puking is so good hawks helping leadin him back to bed holding onto him so he doesn’t fall over because he’s dizzy and his legs are shaky

I agree that dabi would mostly have liquid puke bc he probably barely eats anything. homie survives off of gatorade and ensures there’s no chunks for him to puke
i'm so with u on that anon. maybe some ramen noodles or pork rinds

i cannot begin to explain the way i cackled at the earnestness of this message, so let's just get into it
since overheating can cause nausea i bet a lot of fights end with him finding a quiet spot to lose his guts— i think roasting those shitty recruits didn't fuck him up since that was more of a "wham bam thank you ma'am" situation, but that long fight with geten where he really had to push his stamina would've made him so fucking hot and sweaty and sick!!

How long is your turnaround for commissions?
oh god, well, it sorta depends on a lotta factors— the biggest of which are 1) how long the commission is, and 2) how much free time / energy i have. I can knock out 1000 words in a day or two, but the longer it gets, the longer the wait. it also depends on how many other commissions and personal projects i have going! a previous 5k-word commission took six weeks because of the length, the other comms i had to work on at the same time, and the fact i had an in-person job. so it can vary WILDLY.

LMAO it's... partially canon. he canonically gets carsick easily, but then everyone just sorta extrapolated from there. i think the whole "weak constitution" thing leaves a lot of room for the imagination, and around these parts we like to see the man suffer

!!!! I gotta think he's retained some memory of his mother's cooking, and he must have done that with her at least once since he needed other things (besides the quirk training he wasn't getting) to fill his time. So I think he can cook. Whether he does is a different matter.

Fears and phobias of the LoV?
I think Jin is probably averse to large crowds / lots of noise— things that could be overstimulating.
It would be ironic if Compress was claustrophobic, but I haven't given that a lot of thought.
Shigaraki gets freaked out by dogs. And for the longest time he doesn't know why. And then he remembers.
I wouldn't call it a phobia or a fear, exactly, but Dabi probably doesn't dig raised voices. Like loud, angry, older masculine voices.

that last message I can see him feeling like that especially after the war arc he over exerted himself so him feeling sick from the pain and that would be a bad combo
crying screaming over this because his scars extended after that so this is basically canon

I thought of dabi with a trash can near him while he’s taking out his staples to adjust them I’m sure that pain makes him feel sick
ohhhh boy i love this, i love pain-induced nausea, it just hits different. i bet it's a very private process for him and he refuses to let anyone assist, even though doing it alone makes it take longer.

I hc dabi to be super ticklish but he always tries not to smile or laugh when being tickled bc of embarrassment
