if u could change one thing about common perception of mithra what would it be
Oooh I've thought about this before and while I wish that people didn't perceive Mithra as wayyy more stupid than he can be in canon (I think the right word for him is naive/easily swayed at times rather than stupid) but I understand that it can be lack of reading what leads to this and not everyone can choose to be interested in reading his material! So instead I'd change the perception that Chiletta was strictly a parental figure to Mithra and that he sees her as such or doesn't recognize it, I personally believe Mithra was who understood Chiletta best back then and as much as he can be unaware about relationships and their complicated impact they can have on him, Chiletta was clearly much more than just a "mother" and her bond, inadequate and improper for someone like Mithra at his age when they met, still had an impact that goes beyond the nature of a parental figure and has been more often described as a companion, I'm not denying Chiletta's parental behavior but imo it'd be best to highlight the words love, comprehension and companion rather than just mother, sister, brother, lover or friend when it comes to the bonds Mithra has had and is developing now, but especially his behavior and thoughts about Chiletta, that is to say in simple words: I would change the perception that Mithra sees or felt Chiletta to be a mother to him
