yes he did, you are very right. i genuinely hated that scene. i also do think they did objectively make every single character worse going into the last 3 seasons. there is a very good reason why people only rewatch those 3, i only dont because my fav ep is guilty pleasures (i normally start my rewatch after that ep). there is a lot wrong with sam. i actually think there is something wrong with practically every single character in glee. i mean you literally cannot make it through one episode of glee without something offensive being said, whether its exceedingly racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. sam also said very insensitive shit in s4ep20 which was very much out of character compared to the first 2 seasons he was in. also i said i dont blame mercedes? sam definitely made insensitive comments full with microaggressions and mercedes would have been more than based to break up with him over that. i just focused on one thing i didnt love as i was hyperfixated on sam at the time. even in seasons where a character is at their best, they do something fucked if we are being honest, so im sorry if me saying i really liked sam in the later seasons made it seem like i was just glazing over the messed up shit he did as well. glee is a very flawed show with objectively bad writing and you wont find me ride or die defending ANY character. when i hate on a relationship on glee it really is a two way thing, i just tend to focus on my fav character of the two. i apologize.

oh yes they really fucked sam over in the life department 😭😭 i mean the fact he lost his home just in s2 and then we didnt even know what happened to him when s3 started... glee glazed over so many issues tho im not surprised it all got left unresolved, it was actually the shows favorite sport. especially considering sam wasnt even considered a main character until s4 😭 also did they even say what sams living situation was after s3 because he was living at the hummel-hudson house before?? that seems to be a plot point i dont remember them ever coming back to 😭😭😭 blaine being there for him during the episode that really touched on sams body dysmorphia 🥲 and then they never came back to that.... blam really had each other during all the hardships of senior year 🥹 OKAY AND LIKE DOESNT IT MAKE MORE SENSE FOR BLAINE TO HAVE DATED SAM AND NOT KAROFSKY??? but then again, if blam got together why would blaine go back to kurt.... so that couldnt happen.

im going to be completely honest, and dont hate me, but i did not like samcedes 😭 she lowkey treated him like a child during s5 and it wasnt fair to him that she came and went (which i do not blame her for at all, LIVE OUT YOUR DREAMS QUEEN). they were cute in s3, but eh... i also dont think sams character was as ruined as everyone is saying? he was fine in s4+5 imo... blaine as well? 😭 idk sam became my 2nd fav character during the later seasons rather than s2+3. i mean yes they made sam dumber, but not to the extent everyone says they did? i mean s6 sam was by far worse than the rest, but i didnt care that much 😭😭 also yes, the sam harem is real and i truly believe that is partly thanks to chord overstreet simply having chemistry with every person he met 😭 anywhore, im a blam otp til i die!!! the healthiest marriages happen when people marry their best friend :)
