Oof I love mermaid Miles in the like deeply existential outcast kind of way where he can't return neither back to sea & can't journey into the land alone ever since Gwen Beter nd co left him so he just walks the shore by himself, and sometimes his mom and dad come up to him, and ig the fisher's son (ganke) is nice to him, but otherwise. deeply. lonely existence! He's such an extrovert isn't he 😢 I also think of Gwen & Beter, Hobie & Margo as knightly figues, with Gwen and Beter being the more traditional knights (though not w/out their hangups), while Hobie and Margo are a bit more unorthodox, dabbling in sorcery (especially Hobie), but ultimately the more heroic two out of the four.
