Olivine being used by the members of the church so that they can blow off steam and do dark things to him without hurting anyone else. He's hurt and abused and dripping with hot wax all over his chest. Holy Oil is used and it really burns. They use crosses and rosaries as flogs and whips. They position him over some elaborate ornate religious seeming chair but everyone ends up on the dirty floor. They don't bother to tie him up because they know he'll be obedient and by the time that they're done he couldn't put it a fight if he wanted to anyway.
ooh sorry I missed this one! this makes it sound like it's a regular occurrence, like this is something he sees as part and parcel of his role as a priest. maybe he thinks it's a good thing that he can serve as a receptacle for everyone's dark impulses (since he certainly knows what having those is like), to the point that he doesn't realize they're just taking advantage of him... but I wonder if it would matter to him even if he knew?
