How do you deal with people having characters or stories similar to yours.

couple things on this. 1. I don't think that my ideas are terribly original but they are cool to me because I like them! Some of my inspiration comes from published works, and those are other people's ideas already!! So there is a level there of, I probably have some generic stuff and/or things that lots of people may use in their own stories in some way.

  1. Aside from a couple characters being stolen and edited a lot ( I think they just wanted the art for DnD characters), I don't think I have run into this. I am not enough of a public entity I think.

if I did see a big obviously heavily inspired by me I might... mute and ignore them if it actually upset me just take it out of my eyeline. That would be my only advice. If they were encroaching on your business in someway, that is worth a chat.
