where should the next pokemon region be based on, and do you have any cool ideas for said hypothetical region?
I think a compressed version of the American West Coast would be really interesting, esp with the variety of environments california can provide! A bustling southern port town (San diego) with a short route leading to a city nearly as large as Castelia (LA) would be neat! From there you could head north into the snowy mountains (Big Bear), east to the desert (Mojave). Stuff like catalina would make for an excellent post-game area, like in gen 4!
