i’m kinda biased bc i base my fav wonwoo pairings on:

☆ whoever plays along with his antics/reacts well to his comments and shows acceptance of his humour
☆ whoever is closest to him that/all szn

so bc wonwoo appears closer to maknae line (with the exception of coupsie) than the rest……. my verdict is minwon > wonboo > wonhao seokwoo > woncheol > wonsol wonchan > wonshua wonhan > wonhui soonwoo wonhoon

1. minwon: no surprises there i literally have them as my pinned. the definition of an opposites attract friendship. bittersweet, catdog unit. ww thinks mg’s water, mg think he’s fire (melon station). says ww isn’t funny (on fansign post-its, svt rolling paper) but also the first to laugh at his jokes. the many instances where mg acts like he’s the hyung or uses banmal with ww. mg getting worried over his meals (that deleted hhu vlive) and feeding him whenever he was too busy playing games (180728 fansign). ww also looks out for mg in his own way like defending him when svt collectively tease him, always complimenting and reassuring him (when mg didn’t look too happy about winning the meal award and ww reassured him that it meant he looks good eating), sending him sbucks coupon when he looked tired in between schedules. they’re polar opposites who share the same interests, hobbies (interior design, photography, videography) and house which make them all the more interesting to me.
2. wonboo: as a wonboo truther since 2018, i’ve never been happier. he loves ww a lot and ww loves him just as much. like when sk cried bc ww died in his dream and there was blood but ww went “oh that’s a good dream at least i know someone would cry for me when i died” :-( in aju nice repack sk said ww’s his fav hyung and i think that’s still true to this day ♡
3. wonhao: chopstick brothers who call each other often (when 8 filmed his mv, the vc when 8 was in quarantine, 8 calling ww to have breakfast tgt and how it made ww flutter), buddies who go shopping and drink wine, tea, coffee tgt, ww visiting 8 at his sidebyside mv set. idk how to explain this but they are both very mature and view/deal with things differently. i’m obsessed.
4. seokwoo: i am a huge fan of the “i’m the most awkward with ww hyung” to being inseparable playful besties pipeline. something truly shifted after seoky said that and now they’re closer than ever. even sk said “you two only play with each other”. booseoksoon who i only know booseokwoo.
5. woncheol: ww idolises and respects him sm. fav dongsaeng-hyung bro dynamics. sc lets him get away with so many things tbh. maybe it’s the old roommates privilege.
6. wonsol: just two quiet cats in hhu who enjoy peace and share a humour code. my fav moments are vn laughing at ww when he said “i’m also very pretty myself” + vn asking if he looked cool kicking the mirror and ww saying “i want to become the mirror” LOL
7. wonchan: while chan is 4th in my bias list.. wonchan is 7th cause he doesn’t even look ww’s way. need ww to move on and STAND UP bc i’m tired of waiting for chan to reciprocate 😓
8. wonshua: cute and underrated if we’re being honest. ww’s inner brat comes out when he’s with the 95z. very annoying (affectionate) when they’re tgt. shua’s 2nd family.
9. wonhan: both bratty and always teasing eo non stop. oty tour when all they did was splash water at eo. i actually really like them 👍
10. wonhui: two cats who live on the opposite ends of the house. roommates on tour. spicy food and chinese food buddies.
11. soonwoo: gym buddies. if you ask me for recent interactions i honestly only have those gym selfies in mind. long time besties.
12. wonhoon: tsundere line. friendship that revolves around games. only wonwoozi interaction i ever get is woozi reminding everyone how unfunny wonwoo is when he tries (and he’s wrong).

why are 95line 96line last? bc with them the friendship is more on the banterous side. which isn’t necessarily a bad thing bc you’d only banter with someone you are comfortable with. AND it’s interesting that ww rarely ever uses honourifics with 95line he just doesn’t adhere to the strict hyung/dongsaeng age hierarchy. they also never said anything to him about it and let him be. i used to like 96line but they’re Just Some Guys. a mix of super different personalities and the dynamics (imho!) got stale after some time. with them it’s always “wait they know each other?” and i’m sick of that hshdhsj i’m more of a 97line x ww girl bc ww allows himself to be doted on by them.

BUT i love all ww pairings. he has no awkward/rare pairings if you think about it. i only talk about minwon wonboo wonchan wonhao bc they’re high on my bias list 🗯
