Cannibalism has been always romanctized since the old ages especially in french literature where these books had their origins and it's still the wholesome thing you'll see in nowdays π₯΄π₯΄
You know what? Cannibalism is one of my favorite things i put in my fanfictions or characters lores, and for my OCs like Ryan and Axel is the proof (even if Axel had times where he was forced to eat himself).
But if you want cannibalism themes as a romantic expression being shown i reccomend the game Dead Plate, containing also homosexuality between the villain and the protagonist.
Romanctizing dark themes in literature isn't such a big deal, of course it would be an great issue if you are bringing this to the real world.
