what if some one as you to do a characters but you don't know the characters will you look them up?

Yes I always look them up, but some people forget to include where character is from. Sometimes this makes it impossible to check where they are from unfortunately.

Are you okay to draw characters from obscure medias?

Nothing against it, but I would have to like their design in the first place
