ROSÉ - Number One Girl
- I guess she had to have a lighter waving ballad, but it is an improvement on what she’d have done if she was still in YG.

WONHO - What Would You Do
- Wonho wears too much clothing, and the song is a boring ballad. Why listen to this when “Losing You” exists, and that’s not only leagues better but also just an excellent song in general, one of the rare k-pop ballads worth a shit.

Lovelyz - Dear
- If you want to remember Lovelyz, just listen to “Ah-choo” instead.

triple S ∞! - Untitled
- Nearly there but is thwarted by verses than meander when they needed to be simple to jeep up with the pace.

QWER - Halftime
- QWER do a sports thing.

IZNA - Izna
- Teddy’s new girl group doesn’t sound like what we expected them to be, but they don’t any better either.

MEOVV - Body
- Slow, chanty bullshit that’s 4 years too dated, flanked by people pretending to be excited over this.

H1-KEY & Josh Cullen - Re: Thinking About You
- I already forgot about this.

BADVILLAIN - Zoom
- Could use some more zooming on a songwriting book.

TWS - Last Festival
- Boring and certainly not good enough to make you forget how much of a heap HYBE currently is.

A.C.E - Pinata
- I guess they wanted to make a stab at Rain’s “Gang”. Visually better but about the same level musically, i.e not particularly good.

ALL(H)OURS - Psycho Mantra
- Shouty boy group crap.

WayV - Frequency
- Kinda what a 1st gen song would soundlike if the production wasn’t dogshit.

WayV - High Five
- Kinda the best video concept in a while. Hopefully they’re digging up gay sex artifacts that Ten and I can take inspiration from.

EPEX - Closer
- There’s a good song here, but this song really could have used a rawer, less-polished edge.

NOWADAYS - Let’s get it
- Promising backing track marred by chanting chorus.

ICHILLIN’ - Official
- Works in the same way that Aespa’s “Whiplash” does, with fast pace, rhythmic punch and just not getting bogged down. A slight lack of harmonic variety is the only thing holding this back from song of the year contention.

LOVEONE - Funny Honey
- It’s like Fifty Fifty except we’re yet to hear how shitty the company is.

B-OURS - Live a Life
- Not as bad as the other comparable “in your area” stuff lately.

Davichi - Stitching
- Yeah, they visited Dr. Kim.

Libelante - Journey of love
- Stop the car.

Chaser - telescope
- That dress is cute.

ARTI - Pocket
- Promising beat, shame about the indie voice.

ROA - Wrap Up
- Short black hair works best for her.

GIA, HOOD GIRLS - Stick With It
- I couldn’t.

Jung Illhoon - Lullaby
- Something to make even a baby more agitated.

Rocky - On My Mind
- It isn’t.

Zhoumi - Ex Games
- Some Super Junior guy we all forgot about, including SM’s musical department.

Cacophony - Snowman
- Actually not some christmassy shit, but then this is Cacophony we’re talking about.

KAVE - Stone
- An interesting cross between Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” and The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army”.

Olivia Marsh - 42
- Apparently the sister of NewJeans’ Danielle, she earns kudos for correct mic usage.

Dbo ft. Dok2, Okasian - Pop It Up
- This has to be a prank on the listener.

Tray B - Kim Tae Hae
- Yeah, no.

Junoflo ft. Lyricks - 24 HRZ
- Sucks every hour of the day.

Yang Ji Eun - You are a butterfly
- Only worth it for the cinematography.

Jay Chang - LaSalle Ave
- Some nice cat content here.

ACTUAL GOOD NUGU STUFF SECTION
YUL2 - Starry Night
- Here’s a ballad that actually works. Starts off slow but thankfully shifts gears.

Woona - Love Rider
- Kinda like an early Gfriend style song with rockier elements, like QWER’s best stuff.

Celestial Squad - Way Out
- Similar to the previous song, but with better and even punchier production

Mayliz - Tonight
- A SAW/disco/trot hybrid that wouldn’t feel out of place in 1st/2nd gen. A banger, with keys that really don’t scream ‘nugu’ at all. It’s not going to get any better than this, let’s wrap it up.

BONUS K-POP VIDEO SECTION
Davie504 - ABT.
- “APT” is just a really great song, as this bass cover proves. Its success is well warranted.
