two very different questions but ftm ivan, nice, fantastic, definitely just as hot. long hair ivan, also great, fantastic, makes me think of actor ivan in some sort of historical drama and till going ghhnnhgmhmhhhh (wonders if he has a hair fetish). i don't think it'd be ooc for actor au ivan to act in a historical drama... he'd definitely look great..... plus there is a tendency for rookie actors (esp idols turned actors) to join basically Any Drama that's available, and a lot of the "low tier" kdramas that rookie actors star in are very frequently historical dramas.

actually kind of obsessed with the idea of rookie actor ivan in a historical drama with a HILARIOUSLY bad plot and till gripes how shit it is. but also till is the fool because he tunes in every weeknight without fail

i'll combine this with the other request for actor au ivantill but

• actor au ivan is good with kid till because ivan plays well and keeps up with any hyperactive needy kid (and adjust to all his diff moods)
• actor till is good with kid ivan bc he’s quiet and does his own thing and kid ivan likes that so its like. parallel play
• all of the kid actors think that till is the coolest, followed by sua, then luka. no one thinks ivan is cool after they talk to him
• ivan has a great memory but he's very awkward with blocking and ends up practicing it or watching other dramas for inspiration, but till catches him one day and offers to block it with him (ivan says woof)
• ivan always posts behind the scenes on his ig (whether it's as soon as he takes it or later on after the drama is out) but with alien stage it's 100% all till in every behind the scenes
• luka is the most considerate to staff in terms of giving them snacks or trying to help out with work where he can (says it's in the name of efficiency but i think actor luka is just a nice guy. a deep oddball tho)
• the pipeline of "ivan you look cold take my blanket" to "sunbae let's share blankets!!" to cuddling on set fully
• ivan never gets leading roles until till puts in a good word for his acting skills; as an idol, he went through the whole "minor roles" to "sub male lead" phase and till got mad at the casting without realizing it (till voice no what do you MEAN xyz is ml over ivan?? does that make sense???? ivan's the most male lead material in the whole show no matter how you look at it????? bystander voice um till-nim why are you so mad..)
• ivan learns how to take care of staff on site by watching till (it is also very obvious to everyone who he learned it from. very endearing)
• ivan studies his script a ton because while he has a good memory, he isn't great with creating nuance or certain undertones in the lines and giving the lines the subtle emotion it needs, which is why he relies on the script's descriptions or asks the director (and later till) for clarification. so lovely and earnest
• till is the total opposite in the sense that his memory is pretty bad, but his sense for emoting and acting out the lines like it's his own life is unmatched. his script is also super marked up like ivan's but for opposite reasons
• till keeps every one of his scripts of his favorite roles for nostalgia... just to look back on the memories...
• the first time they're cast to play love interests (with a HAPPY ENDING) ivan texts luka like i can ask till sunbae to practice kissing with me right??? that's something actors can do???? and luka's like um i guess but didn't you do that for alien stage too... and ivan's like FUCK!
• ivan is a walking jungle gym for the kid actors. ivan's manager looks at them terrified IVAN REMEMBER YOU HAVE A CONCERT IN TWO DAYS...!!!!
• after alnst production finishes, ivan invites till to a concert and begs him to show up and till's like hmm yeah i guess if i have time i'll check it out (teasing) but then he kind of. becomes a fan. comes to ivan's concerts and shows unasked. the other fans are happy to see him and they give him a luka banner/fan and till accepts it thinking its funny. ivan sees till holding up luka merch and suddenly luka feels a chill down his back
• till professional ticketer btw it takes him some time to figure it out but he gets it quickly
• ivan does many stunts himself :D
• till does nearly no stunts because he's "old and my job isn't to do cool things it's to look cool and not break my back at 32 alright"

i don't think i've answered this so you're all good! on mizihyuna, i think they're cute but ultimately tragic in the sense that they're together because they share grief and trauma in a way that few people can understand (people you love dying, people you love being the cause of your trauma, romantic relationships that were cut off too early, lost potential, etc). it would be nice if they could somehow heal together but for me mizisua is The relationship for mizi and the same for hyuna (although to a less positive degree). even if they move on im not sure that would be enough for the mizihyuna to become as intensely passionate as their previous relationships were...

tldr mizihyuna is very cute and they're very supportive of each other but i think their relationship can never be separated from all the grief and trauma they both carry and that's very complicated so aaaaaaaa

i watched this a very long time ago so the details are fuzzy but i do like the thought of extremely good bodyguard/servant ivan who's a little too handsome and well-qualified for a job like this (also demon dogboy) and till who's like a sheltered (literally) young master who grumbles and snaps at everyone in the house but they all like him since he's so cutieful... and also that side plot of the tragic time loop reincarnation thing WOWZA i think ivan should die for till and then get reincarnated with all his memories ready to do it again and till to eventually remember and be horrified at how self sacrificial ivan is for till

(happy ending because till convinces ivan that life would be happier if he lives for the both of them and therefore ivan just goes from "i'll die for till" to "i'll be happy and live a long life with till since that's what till wants" and therefore all their enemies are Instantly Vanquished)

i've been sitting on this one for a while because i have so many thoughts on their childhood but even in aus i always try to write it as they both have a bit of a traumatic childhood before they got "adopted" or found each other so i'll include hcs from before and after that

(and this will be au only since canon childhood thoughts are. a different thing entirely)

ivan:
- lived on the streets for a while and had to learn to survive really quickly. ate some rats. both of his hands are permanently fucked up from that time he tried to steal and got his hands stomped on so he can't do many things that require fine dexterity like till
- lives a really minimalist lifestyle now thanks to his childhood; if he does have anything important, he usually keeps it on him or at till's
- when he got into an orphanage no one picked him until his first and last Rich Parent did and they just largely left him alone because he was a pick for optics (but he does well under instruction so slowly that parent started investing more in him but still off on the sidelines)
- can't cook because he has and will eat literally anything
- got really sick often as a kid
- no sense of object permanence until till came around

till:
- was shuffled around A LOT of foster homes and orphanages because he kept running away/people didn't like him
- always very active as a child and also loud
- favorite place to go was a guitar shop nearby just to look at them and the music sheets and stuff. after years of this the owner taught him a few things and the rest he picked up on his own
- can cook because he had to find some way to make food palatable for him
- other than food he wasn't very fussy at all... slept well ate well moved around a lot
- met ivan at an orphanage (till came later) and they only started talking to each other/hanging out with each other because everyone else was too loud
- just two boys sitting in a corner together scribbling on a notebook how cute
- never learned The Skills Of The Streets like ivan because he was always in a shelter and didn't have much of a need for it but he DID get robbed quite a bit so he's very protective of his belongings and knows where everything is at all times

Ivan's a serial dater. He gets a girlfriend on Monday, dumps her by Friday, and on the next Monday, he's escorting some poor idiot to class. The cycle repeats. The shortest record was two days.

It's one of the stupidest things Till's ever seen, because Ivan must have gone through half of the student body at this point, and he still gets confessions on a weekly basis. It just doesn't make sense. Good looks can only carry someone so far.

"But it's not about Ivan's looks," Mizi says, after wringing the dregs of her juice box to death. "I mean, he's smart too, right? Top of the class, handsome, considerate, kind—"

"Are we talking about the same person here?" Till says, to clarify.

"He only acts like that around you because you're his friend," Mizi says. That, meaning his propensity for licking Till's ears and biting his cheek like a rabid dog. "But around other people, he's like—you know the student body president in K-dramas? Like that! He's second male lead kind of nice."

"That's a lie," Till says. "He's leading them on. He—"

A burst of giggles drag his attention away. He doesn't even need to look to know why, but he's some sort of masochist, and his head turns without his input. Yeah, no fucking surprise there: it's Ivan, smiling at his newest girlfriend of the week. She has her hair in a high ponytail, too high to mask the flush in her ears and cheeks. It's like watching a fucking train wreck.

"I don't understand," Till says, after they pass out of sight. "Why does he do that? He obviously doesn't have any interest in any of them."

"How do you know that?" Mizi says. She's a romantic.

"C'mon, Mizi. It's Ivan. He doesn't even know what love is. As if he gives a fuck about trying to find it."

"That's rude," Mizi says, frowning.

"I'm just saying," Till mutters.

"I don't know, Till. I don't think you're giving him enough credit. No one ever badmouthed him after breaking up with him, so it's not like he treats his dates badly."

That's true. Say whatever about Ivan, but there's no denying that his reputation is flawless. Everyone comes out of their short-lived relationship with Ivan parroting the same thing: that he was nice, that he was sweet, that he was a good boyfriend but more of an experience to enjoy rather than a person to fall in love with.

Ugh. It just gives Till a scummy feeling, that's all. Who even says that about another person?

"It's weird," is what Till ends up saying.

Mizi blinks at him behind her glasses. "Why does it matter?"

"It doesn't. It's... an observation. He should reject them if it isn't going to last."

"Right," Mizi says. "But why does it matter?"

"You said I'm his friend," Till says, aggravated. "Can't a friend. Care. For that kind of thing."

Mizi's frown deepens, before enlightenment strikes to clear it away. A feeling of foreboding pools in Till's gut, like watching a tree topple the wrong way.

"Wait," Till says. "I didn't mean it like—"

"Are you worried?" Mizi asks. "Oh, I should've known! You're worried Ivan will get his feelings hurt! That's so sweet!"

"I'm not worried," Till hisses, looking around frantically. Thankfully, the classroom is still bustling with conversation, and he grabs Mizi's hand to—fuck, stress the urgency of this to her. "Listen. I'm not worried. Ivan doesn't—Ivan doesn't even have feelings, okay?"

"You keep saying mean things, but I know how you really feel," Mizi says. There's a sparkle in her eyes.

He's doomed.

"Mizi," he says. "Mizi, no. Listen to me."

"I'm listening to you," she says. "Your heart, that is, since you don't want to admit the truth to yourself. It's okay! No secrets between friends, right?"

This is seriously not the impression he wanted to give to her. Now he has to figure out a way to convince her that she's wrong without making her think he's some sort of—misguided tsundere, or some shit. A valid reason to care about Ivan's dating spree. There has to be something to persuade her.

Nothing.

Okay, last resort it is.

"Even if you're right," Till says, to her manic applause and squeal, "shush! Shh! Even if you're right!"

"I am," Mizi says.

"I said even, even if you're right, you can't tell anyone about this, alright? Not even Sua."

"But I tell Sua everything."

Till knows; it's a problem. If he tells Mizi a secret, then it spreads to Sua, which then makes its way to Ivan via Sua and Ivan's shared power of eye telepathy or whatever. He can't have that happen. If Ivan is under the impression that Till cares about him, then Ivan will use it to tease him until he dies. That's just the type of freak Ivan is.

"For me," Till says. "Please. Don't say a thing."

"But you like him," Mizi whispers, eyes wide. "Don't you? That's why you care so much."

Till releases a heavy exhale. His failed first love, trying to convince him that he's in love with his best friend slash archnemesis since childhood. There are probably shit KBS dramas made about stuff like this.

"Don't say anything," Till says, instead of bothering to confirm her delusions. "I mean it."

"Love is a very serious thing," Mizi says, nodding. "Okay! You have my word."

Thank god for one bullet dodged. "Thanks."

"But you will tell me, right? When you and Ivan get together."

Till opens his mouth to reply, then pauses. Something about that phrase.

"When?" he repeats.
