jmj lore to my knowledge has inconsistencies but here is what i know!!
so when they first met it was in vocal room. mj was with 3 other trainees when jm walked in, apparently the atmosphere was awkward but jm as sunbae decided to introduce herself first and showed them around. so mj said she thought jm looked unique like a model and was tall while jm said "she really looked so soft and warm like a freshly steamed potato." and she thought she needed to take care of mj.
its cute and all buttt in another interview -around the time of savage- jm said they were this rivalry between them since they started to train around the same time. when they first started to train they were in different groups (jm was with ningning and mj was with chaehyun i think) so maybe thats why their rivalry started! (here is a cute story back when they were in different trainee groups: https://twitter.com/sunshine_080507/status/1604481798746296321) the idea of them hearing stories about each other and learning these little stuff without being friends is so cute to me!!
anyway aespa's line-up changed so much but jm and mj were always in these line-ups so i assume they were put together in the same trainee group at some point (they said they performed keep your head down for one monthly evaluation) and when that happened the rivalry faded i guess?
the reason i said its a bit inconsistent cause im pretty sure jm said they met at dance practice, said mj was cute and a "precious friend she need to take care of." while there is whole other stuff with the vocal room so again i assume it went like: very first meeting at vocal room, after that they werent friends but rivals. then they got put in same group, jm saw mj in dance practice room and her cuteness aggression got trigged, they became friends.
additional notes: they were told they were going to debut together but their recations were tame because at that point they were told countless times already and they started to think they weren't going to debut at all. jm bought mj her first alcohol when she turned 18. when they were taking the bus if they missed the time jm would run after the bus and hit the doors till it stopped and it took them in. they invented the jmj cross during the trainee days. even then jm teased mj about her cheeks.

i think my dream fic to write would be a fic based on paper rings by taylor swift bc that edit got me into jmj so it would be the perfect full circle moment for me <3 i also want to write something super rom-com-y because i made jmj suffer for long enough <///3333
as for reading, my dream fic would be like a long ass pacific rim au fic because the more i read from that au, the more i want asdfhgj and also bc jmj would serve the BEST angst for this type of au. like... the soulmatism, their natural antagonism,,, it's all right there. if any jmj (gods) authors are listening right now,,, i don't ask for too much just a twenty-something k pacrim fic, that's all thank you

awww so sad to hear you might stop writing for jmj soon, but if it means anything, i think there is no one that captures them as well as you do! while many of the common fic themes/plots have fics written already, i just think that no one else understands the nuances in jmj's dynamic like you and translates them into such well-written and unique stories. all this to say, you're my fave author since curtain call and i'll always support you!
not so soon yet! :D there are still a lot of things i have yet to write to fully empty myself out, so it’s definitely not happening this year (maybe not even the next), i just meant that while i’m happy the jmj tag got so popular, i think i will probably reach a point when i will no longer get kick out of posting on a tag that already has everything haha thank you so much for your support, i die for jmj’s dynamic ♥♥♥

for you, is writing bg fic harder or easier than gg fic? or is it about the same?
Uhhh, as of right now I think bg fics are harder. But I think it is mostly because the one ship I would write for is very saturated and I perceive that the readership there have different expectations from what I can offer, which makes it more comfortable for me to keep writing for ggs. On the other hand, tho, while jiminjeong is the main ship I’m writing for, I might start to lose the will to write for them as they are also starting to become very saturated and it’s no fun writing things that are written before :(

thank you :’) I do love my women a little toxic <3 For most parts, I don’t consume that much media (I have too little of an attention span for that) BUT!!! I love love love the relationship between Amber/Tara from Scream V like there is romance in not wanting to kill your best friend when you’re a fucked up serial killer <3 (but also fuck the scream franchise now!) And also, I did not watch Game of Thrones or the House of the Dragon but… Alicent/Rhaeyra biting my fist that one comment on and edit saying sth like “I don’t know anything about the franchise but they fuck raw” I Felt
I know that strictly speaking these are not canon ships. I want to deep dive into Yellowjackets once I get over myself because cannibalism = peak romance sometimes!

I definitely do! I am, for most sides, not a rare pair shipper. While I do see the beauty in looking into tiny interactions (I also have been there), I need substance. I don’t care if it’s company propaganda or anything. Tell me you like each other. Show me. Otherwise I won’t believe you! I think I’m mainly drawn to ships that have this certain I am you and you are me situation going on despite being soooo different from each other (khm… jiminjeong and jaemjen), who are visibly obsessed with each other. But sometimes I’m drawn to certain dynamics like xiaorina soulmatism, or the whatever fuckass competition was between yvesoul.
(And also, I am always one good edit away from writing for a ship. I started getting into jmj when I saw a paper ring edit of them ((sadly it was deleted shortly after))
