Cel-shaded feels like such a retro-style of rendering, reminded me of animes from 80s and 90s honestly. Why did you choose to offer this particular rendering style? Btw, do you enjoy animes from these eras and if so, do you have any particularly favorite one?
Cel-shaded are (arguably) more complex nowadays, but there's still plenty of anime using the style nowadays, no? Although done digitally, of course~ and with way more post-processing too!
As for why, I wanted to give more options for commissioners to pick from, and I have that in my repertoire, so I thought why not make that an option?
Although, yes, I'm also a fan of a lot of of old animes, particularly from the 90s. Some of my top fave would be The End of Evangelion, Mononoke Hime, Cowboy Bebop & Ghost in the Shell among others.
These are still some of my favs now, even!
I think directing & editing in anime was better back then.
