I want to say thank you for putting together the Carrd with all the Nitro Chiral translations floating around the internet. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but it's a task that me and I'm sure many other fans appreciate immensely. I really hope the links never get lost but that if they do someone has saved them. I have also read your meta posts on Slow Damage and I think they are wonderful. I wish there was a better way for me to show how much I appreciate you and how grateful that you exist. I hope you have a wonderul year!
Hi! Thank you so much for sending this message! I feel bad for replying to this 2 weeks later (a lot of things kept me busy or not feeling well), but honestly, I'm glad that even though I haven't been active as of late, my contributions to the fandom are still of great help to others like you. Honestly, really, it's messages like yours that make me feel so happy! I wish I could approach your DMs and give you a big hug right now~ ( っ˶´ ˘ `)っ
It's already been 3 weeks since the dawn of the new year, but I hope 2025 will be a great year for you too! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
you don't need to announce every word you're muting, just stop being a hater
As I tried to make clear before, I wasn't hating on the series; that would require me to actually talk smack about it and find faults with it rather than simply remark on filtering it and/or how doing so isn't doing much because the site is barely functional. If I was being a hater, I'd rant my ass nonstop about how the series is terrible or something like that, which wasn't the case. I just wanted to mute it because I'm not in the fandom, let alone watched it, yet 80% of my feed is about it.
Besides, everyone posts whatever they like and I've seen plenty of people saying "I'm muting this / blocking that" yet I paid it no mind. And I'm sure that this is the only the 2nd time that I've ever posted about muting words (minus my responses to those who reply to said posts). And in this case, I know I recently replied to someone asking why I muted the name and so I answered. No more, no less.
Hi!!! I think N+P should try a mc Ossan with Ossan LI, and maybe some young adults +30's but Ossan+Ossan would be an interesting formula. They are afraid of success 🥲
True. I know that isn't the "trend" or something in the BL world, but with what N+C had shown they can do through Slow Damage, where the entire main cast are already adults, the potential of what they can do with an even more mature cast is immense and interesting, especially since they are really good with writing their ossans (not just with Taku, but also with Motomi and Bardo, and also Mink in case he's conceptualized to be of the similar age range as them). 😉
We need more content Madataku.
I remember in Chiral Cafe Aoba used Scrap on Shiki, it was a fun interaction.
Could you formulate a little more about Towa and Akira, I liked it. Love your meta´s <3
I agree; I can still count how many fanart overall MadaTaku gets with both my hands (and while there's fics of them, which I appreciate, we still really need more content).
Yeah. The fact that Aoba could use Scrap to keep Shiki in check intrigued me, but granted, I never thought beyond that. ^^;
I admit, with Towa and Akira, the fact that they have similar dispositions (even if their pasts are most definitely different) would help them find common ground with each other. That, and they also have the most matching aesthetic. Sorry, I didn't really think too much into the pairing, mainly because I just keep thinking about the canonical ones...
And thanks! I feel bad because it's been some time since I last made a real meta (since my posts lately are mainly of trivia posts), but I am doing my best to make my muse come back to me. I have WIPs... but something's keeping me from finishing them... T^T
Heey, any thoughts about Arbitro? He's one of my favs and I'll be glad to hear something about him excepting just calling him a weirdo (which is obvious)
I can't really say I have much thoughts about him the same way I do the Slow Damage cast, for example, but his idiosyncracies aside, he could've used a bit more screentime in the VN since while he's not the mastermind, his involvement with Vischio and ENED does leave room for potential (that and it'd be funny if he still encountered Motomi again outside the man's route), especially in what'd become of him depending on the route taken (since we only have a good idea if it's either Keisuke or Shiki's endings).
And just as a last note, I have a good feeling that even if the concept itself played a different role in the narrative, he himself served as some sort of inspiration for the plot point that is Euphoria (Maya's business).
Hi, any crack ship that you like from N+C? Do you have a tierlist or sometime? I love AkiraxKonoe and RaixAsato.
Hi! I have to be honest, I never really gave crack ships much thought, or even rank them. Off the top of my head, the ones I'm receptive to are...
Well, that's all I could list so far. There's likely a few more, but they have yet to come to the forefront of my mind.
you have a problem with alien stage...?
Alright, I'll just make this very clear so that nobody gets the wrong idea: I don't have a problem with Alien Stage in general, or with others being into it.
It's just that when, for example, I don't do gacha, I'd then have to mute some gacha games (and all the ship and character names related to it) to avoid my feed/dashboard being filled with nothing but posts about them (by which I mean I then end up missing posts related to the fandoms I'm in because of the influx of posts involving fandoms I'm not even a part of). That or how I keep seeing posts about this celebrity or that influencer that just get in the way of what I'd wish to see on my feed instead.
And the same applies for Alien Stage, as I'll openly admit that I haven't picked it up nor am I in the mood to (at least not until it's been a year after it's officially ended). But that's all there is to it, and rather than Alien Stage itself, my main gripe is with how I learned just one day ago that Twitter has a limit to how many words you can mute.
Also, just to be on the safe side, I'll express as well as stress that I'd rather not get any aggressive messages just because I said I haven't checked out Alien Stage or that I muted tags/words connected to it.
Hi, I'm an ex. fujo, remembering a bit my love for N+C I was interested in a new game and I found your posts, they helped me a lot to get into it again, thank you 💓. Taku caught my attention at first sight and I love it 🥺

Don't stop writing about what you like 💖
Thanks! It's always nice getting into something you like once again, and I'm glad to help. And also, don't let anyone stop you from having fun with what you like.
After that anon said what they really think, I now can say that they were insanely nerve-grating, but there's no chance in hell they or anyone else like them will get me to change my stance on anything.
taku is my favourite li, and takutowa is one of my fave ships in general. im really happy to see another based taku enjoyer <3 /genuine
holy shit what the fuck was that anon. im sorry youre dealing with this
Thanks for the concern. Honestly, I don't know myself. Either way, they better stick to their words and piss off and one way to do that is maybe to just block me if the things I posted angered them that much. If anything, they should have done that before sending me even the asks from months ago.
You seriously think you have me figured out even though you couldn't even figure out why so many people called Taku a gr**mer? You're just going to block a random innocent person. I've already told you in the beginning that I really didn't have bad intentions, but now I can see why you react so badly. You cause others to react negatively to you because you think everyone who doesn't agree with you is out to get you. If I wanted get under your skin, I would have kept contacting you. Did you seriously think turning the anonymous feature off would deter me if I wanted to keep going? I stopped because you obviously couldn't handle it anymore.
That is unless you actually want someone to harrass you so you'd have a reason to play victim and sic your followers/friends on anyone who doesn't agree with your opinions? It wouldn't surprise me if you did because it seems to me that shutting down opinions you don't like is more important than maintaining peace. Sounds like you even have a plan for it, to make a call out post to your target so your followers/friends know who to harrass. If you think I'd be afraid of a bunch of people coming at me then clearly you haven't even thought of the consequences.
Also who'd want you to defend any character? I read your explanation about why you think Madarame is more of a gr*mer than Taku and it's pure mental hoop jumping. THERE'S A LOT OF REASONS WHY MANY CONSIDER TAKU TO BE A GRMER OVER MADARAME AND THAT SHOULD CLUE YOU IN ON WHY YOUR OPINON IS WRONG. I was planning on explaining it to you, but it seems you don't like the idea that you might be wrong. I was going to also tell you why people call Taku a gr*mer (despite not fitting the definition). Well, I don't think you knowing would actually help you at all. You seem to like throwing temper tantrums over it a lot.
Not only that, but apparently you didn't get over me. Thought you wanted to forget me? This is the primary reason why you're seeing this message. You seem like the type of person who can't heal without having the band aid ripped off. Also it seems you're mad that I was trying to change your mind. AREN'T YOU TRYING TO CHANGE OTHER PEOPLE'S MIND TOO BY MAKING POSTS THAT TAKU ISN'T A GR**MER AND/OR THAT MADARAME IS MORE OF ONE? The moment you try to make a debate, you open yourself up to be debated against. If you don't like it then you shouldn't talk about it.
Anyways the true purpose of my post was really a call out. I was baffled why you'd call Madarame a gr*mer when you hated it when Taku was called one. Then I read your explanation and laughed at how silly you are. I don't really care if someone calls Madarame a grmer, what I cared about was your contradictary behavior. You are a hypocrite and worst of all you're just like the people who call Taku a grmer except worst. Instead of being the better person, you choose to stoop just as low as them and run around calling a different character a gr*mer (even though you know it's false) in hopes that those people will change their mind about your own favorite character.
You're a fool if you think that would change their opinions on Taku. Using the same logic as those people will only reinforce their opinions. The more people get into Slow Damage, the more there will be people who'll call Taku a gr**mer, YOU KNOW that's what's happening and that's the truth. You're just creating more drama for yourself and creating a divide in fandom all because you can't accept the truth.
This is why I called out your biases over Taku. I'm surprised you don't realize the biggest problems with biases despite being a left leaning political person. Strong biases clouds judgment and it's clear as day to me that your love for Taku has made you react in a mindless rage. You're willing to throw any character/real person in the garbage if it meant defending Taku. I had actually originally respected you, but I see that you're not who I thought you were. That's what really pushed me to have a message with you. I wanted you to see how childish you were being. It's understandable to be upset about people calling Taku a gr**mer, but to become the very thing you hate to try and change something you don't understand is sad.
Why don't you follow your own advice and block/mute people who call Taku a gr**mer? The fandom is so small that you'd stop seeing those messages entirely.
This is my final message. You don't need to worry about seeing me again unless you make it my business. P.S. I won't be checking for your response to this because I know how to move on.
The thing is, if you are who I think you are, I already had muted. It's just that one day, I looked back on things, then my morbid curiosity suddenly caused me to have a realization, and I mused on it. Because if someone decides to just bother you one day but you don't know who, I doubt it's irrational to wonder who that someone could be, be it immediately or some time after it happened.
Given your rant, I highly doubt you were even following me in the first place, so jumping back to my askbox again is uncalled for, not to mention making all these accusations. Besides, don't we say what we like in our spaces? I have things I disagree with, so do you, and we voice that in our blogs every now and then.
Anyhow, you've said your peace. At the very least, I'm sure what your true intentions are now, in spite of your claim that you weren't originally malicious with them.
so about the slow damage translation: a spanish one is being done right now by TaikutsuTL and they're already doing the bare minimun which is keeping the third person narration intact lol
How possible do you think slow damage stage play is? Is it actually impossible or we just have to be more patient? Perhaps do you also know why our yaoi ancestor-tnc haven't got one yet? Is it due to the source material? Or its popularity mayhaps?
Slow Damage is the most grounded of N+C's (main) visual novels, so I'd say that the chances are, while not exactly zero, kind of unlikely especially since even in the tense moments, things aren't... frenetic or dynamic as in the other VNs. But then again, given that anything can be a stage play these days, we might just be surprised.
I actually think that Togainu no Chi may get a stage play in the future; the fact that it's got a lot of action sequences would work in stage play format, plus there's all the interpersonal drama between the characters (hence lots of acting for the cast). Given what they could get away with in the Sweet Pool stage play, while the stage play may understandably do away with the ickier scenes (and endings), they'll leave just enough that it won't feel robbed of its identity.
you mentioned that you’ve been working on the slow damage wikia on your account and i have to say thank you for your hard work!! however, i have to ask… if you’re the one who’s doing all that work, where did you get the sprites on the characters pages? i’ve been trying to find the slow damage sprites to no avail so i thought i’d ask >.> again, thank you for all you do!!!
I apologize for replying a bit late, but thank you very much! Granted, the coding of the wikia (and the info about the places, settings and whatnot) are done by someone else. What I'm doing is pretty small in comparison, but I wished to spruce up the wikia however I can either way.
As for the sprites, half of those sprites can be found in N+C's official website (https://www.nitrochiral.com/game/slow-damage/), mainly for the main and supporting characters. For the other sprites (e.g. the more minor characters), they can be found by extracting the game files, which someone has done and created a link for; although you will need to have an account in the Aarinfantasy forum to access said link; it's a general rule there to not share links outside the server and I would rather not risk stepping on toes (also, sharing links to VN assets on Twitter can be rather risky and might attract trouble).
Though on the bright side, it's very easy to make an account in that forum and the search system is also pretty straightforward, so you can find the link in no time once you are able to log in there. ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ
And just as a tip: because of how Slow Damage has the characters blink and move their lips, the sprites are blank-faced by default, with the image files for the lips and eyes, respectively, being in a separate folder. To create those sprites, you would need to overlay them manually.
Are there any other BLVNs you enjoy? Or BLVNs you actually ended up disliking?
Nitro+CHiRAL's VNs aside, I did play, and finished, Animamundi: Dark Alchemist, two of Langmaor's games (Enzai and Absolute Obedience), and Lkyt.
I did play No, Thank You!!! but I didn't get far (only up to Hiroyuki's route) and I've more or less forgotten what I did manage to play through...
As for what I've disliked, I can't say that there was anything that left a bad taste on my mouth. I guess at worst, I found Paradise's pace to be a real drag that I didn't feel like playing any further (I may pick it up again, but not very soon yet), and I wasn't even close to getting any of the endings yet. That's how slow it felt for me...
