my advice (that some of my mutuals do not agree with but i swear by) is to outline!!! the hardest part of writing for me is always starting, and an empty document is less intimidating to me than one that already has bullet points on it. and then if my ideas aren't fleshed out enough to have an outline, i just brain dump an unorganized mess of thoughts until it is. my second piece of advice (and this will be cliche) is that as long as you like what you write, it's worth posting. sharing what you write is scary, i know, but art is beautiful as long as it's yours, and fanfic is a labor of love, and the world is always more beautiful when one more person shares their love. i hope that makes the idea a little less scary
