absolutely, like you said, it didnt hurt but for some reason he just felt like he got burned. i would like to think that one of the first people to ever treat him so gently was natasha. shes a doctor and was in charge of taking care of so many kids so she knows how to read people with ease. she can read sampo like the back of her hand, she knows when he lies (i like to think that as good as sampo is at lying, natasha is the only one who can see through him), and she knows when hes hiding behind a smile. so i assume that one of the first times that she tended to one of sampos wounds he expected her to be rough and just quickly patch him up but ... no. she gently held onto his arm or hand and he immediately recoiled. he quickly tries to shrug it off as if nothing happened but natasha knows what kind of response this is and she continued to treat him as though he was something worth taking care of. the entire time sampo tried to make sure he didnt react like that again but natasha could see right through him. and ever since then i think natasha would always try her best to give sampo comforting touches because he deserves to know that at least one person does think he deserves to be taken care of and treated with kindness, and natasha is the embodiment of kindness.

wait . mushroom anon what if he just never had anyone care for him ... ever ? even before getting into the whole business stuff. who knows what kind of life hes had. hes a masked fools and maybe he has been one his entire life ? maybe hes used to this, only know this way of living. masked fools arent ones to take things seriously so why would they care about feelings ? the only difference now is that sampo Cares about belobog, he cares about the people hes met. and for some reason... they care about him too? he doesnt understand it and doesnt quite respond to it in a normal manner but he likes it. so when natasha calls him over one afternoon, hes expecting her to just ask him for some medical supplies but in reality she called him over so they can have a small meal together. and he cant seem to wrap his head around it, but hes happy nonetheless.

UUUGDSHHDHS no honestly i get so sad knowing that so many people want him straight up dead and its just so ... like yeah hes a criminal WHATEVER but hes genuinely done so much for belobog especially the underworld and i just get so upset that no one at least ever acknowledges all that hes done for belobog even though it was all behind the scenes. like he literally recently got his mask back because he wants to help save belobog Again and it just upsets me that even after all that people are rude and mean to him. and maybe one could argue that he did it to himself and yeah sure maybe he even wants that kind of response but there is no way that it does not affect him in some way because of how much he clearly cares about belobog. and as you said... maybe he even feels a bit guilty for even feeling bad about it but he just cares so much yknow.... offhgfhgd ....
