What are your thoughts on the Taliban taking the capital of Afghanistan?

They've taken the entire country.

I think the Taliban are going around executing people and lying in their press conferences that they are going to uphold human rights, specifically women's rights. This is a lie - Sharia law is not kind to women and we all know it. Already, people are disappearing.

People were not chasing down that plane for no reason - they know what is coming. Rape, death, bloodshed, no education for female children - a country once again torn apart from conflict and the civilians almost certainly going to be caught up in drone strikes and the like.

The Taliban want ''peace'' but only on their terms. They just mean that they don't want challenges to their authority.

The fact that Biden is washed his hands of the situation is absolutely abhorrent. Whilst I have sympathy with US military families and wanting their loved ones home, this situation is entirely of the West's making - looking at you US.

I don't know what the solution is here - I think going back to Afghanistan is inevitable - I do know its wrong for the Americans to shirk their responsibility here.

I see so many people commenting how they should be fighting for their country - but with what army? The Afghan Army is just the Taliban now - the Taliban were savvy enough to offer them better pay if they fought with them instead of killing them and their families.

What is also not being mentioned by these keyboard warriors is that contracting for certain weapons the US trained the Afghans on were pulled so those weaponry are no longer available to them anyway.

Overally, I think Biden is not only a President worse than Trump (yes I said it and I'l say it again), I think its elder abuse even having him ran for President. That man is clearly not well.
